Medical assistance is provided to citizens in conditions that require urgent intervention. Such cases include injuries, poisoning, accidents and more. The ambulance manual reflects the basic standards by which this intervention is performed. Activities are carried out immediately by a medical, preventive institution (regardless of subordination of a territorial or departmental nature, as well as ownership). A 24-hour intervention may be provided by an ambulance station.
Provision of events is considered an obligation of the municipality. Ambulance stations are medical departments. They are organized in cities where the population is more than fifty thousand people.

Specialists carry out an immediate check-out and arrival to the victim or patient within the framework of the time standard set for this administrative region. Medical workers establish a diagnosis, conduct activities that contribute to the stabilization or improvement of the patient's condition. If there is evidence, the team will transport the patient to the medical department.
The duties of specialists include the distribution of victims and the formation of a sequence of necessary measures. The team also produces the necessary sanitary and hygienic actions.
Patients brought by specialists to the institution should be immediately transferred to specialists on duty at the admission department. At the same time, a mark on the time of arrival of the victim is made in the call card.
In large cities, substations are organized - structural units of stations. These institutions are formed taking into account the twenty-minute availability. The zones that this or that substation serves are determined in accordance with the population, development features, saturation of enterprises, traffic intensity and condition of highways.
