Getting on the way
Yasinovsky Nikolay Nikolaevich was born in the city of Vorkuta in 1962. He and his family lived in the village, in which the athlete’s father worked in the mine.
Nicholas was accustomed to sports since childhood. He gave hockey fourteen years of his life. Engaged in this team sport, Nikolai repeatedly won the championship of his native city, in the republican championship, and also became the winner of the North-West zone.
After the army service, Nikolai Yasinovsky first experienced a craving for bodybuilding, although this sport did not officially exist on the territory of the USSR. To this end, he becomes a student at the Syktyvkar Pedagogical Institute, where he begins to study in the section of athletic gymnastics. A little later, he decides to transfer to the Institute of Physical Culture in the capital and begins to train in Lyubertsy.
Worthy competitor
Nikolay Yasinovsky is a bodybuilder who prefers to first evaluate all his future competitors, and only then compete with them. He takes this hobby too seriously. Therefore, it seeks to attend as many competitions as possible in which competitors take part.
Nobody likes to lose, and Nikolai is no exception. He enters the competition only after he is fully convinced that he will become a worthy competitor on the sports platform and will be able to take one of the prizes.
Relocation to the USA
Together with other bodybuilders from the national team of the Soviet Union in 1990, Nikolai flies to demonstrations. It was there that the bodybuilder met Jeff Brennon, who is the organizer of the event. Nikolai was the captain of the Soviet team, and the American millionaire, seeing him as a promising athlete, suggests changing his place of residence. The bodybuilder with great pleasure accepts this advantageous offer and already in 1990 moved to the USA.
At first, Nikolai Yasinovsky worked at the Jeff Brennon fitness club, which was located in the city of Spokane. At the same time, the athlete is actively engaged in himself and is preparing to participate in new competitions. Three months of preparation was enough for the man to become the winner of the amateur tournament Emerald Cup, in which he became the leader not only in his category, but also in the overall standings.
Exactly one year later, Nikolai repeats this achievement and becomes the first athlete who managed to get the amateur cup twice. It was at this competition that Yasinovsky received the nickname "Russian Nightmare", which led him all his life and remains with him until now.
Unfulfilled dreams
Unfortunately, Nikolay Yasinovsky could not take part in other competitions. He did not have official rights to this, as well as the citizenship of America. The tiny salary of the fitness club manager and this unpleasant circumstance caused the gap between the promising athlete and Brennon. Yasinovsky quit nowhere.
Year of wandering
Hard times have come for the Soviet bodybuilder. At first he had to work as an electrician in a construction company, but he was soon overtaken by a reduction. Then Nikolai began to wash cars, and the earned money was enough only to pay for a small apartment and lean potatoes. Sometimes the bodybuilder had to spend the night right on the street. At one time, he was even a distributor of food additives.
Later, Nikolai becomes a guard. At first he works in bars, then becomes the bodyguard of a famous singer. But this does not affect his financial situation, it remains the same deplorable: neither a car, nor funds for free movement and normal nutrition.
About a year Nikolay Yasinovsky wandered like that. Bodybuilding was now only in his head, and the athlete himself lost a huge amount of muscle mass and more than 30 kg of weight. In his appearance, one could not even assume the former glory.
Business partner
After a certain time, Nikolai came across a former compatriot who offered to become his business partner, which consisted in the distribution of anabolic steroids brought from the Russian Federation.
This collaboration is beginning to bear fruit quickly. After 6 months, Nikolai appears several expensive cars and a private home on the ocean. The athlete calls from Russia his beloved wife and young son.
So quickly Nikolay Yasinovsky was able to establish his life. Exactly one month after recovery, Nikolai Yasinovsky receives a notice that his father has died. This news completely leads him astray. A man goes into binge and for two months does not even go to the gym.
Debts accumulate, and in order to somehow deal with them, Nikolai decides to start trading anabolics again. But the business, which used to bring incredible income, failed. For a long time, the FBI officers watched the Soviet athlete. After the necessary evidence and evidence were collected, he was arrested red-handed. And the regular client, recruited by the security services, contributed to the detention of the man.
The local press immediately inflates this event. The headlines of all newspapers say that the elusive leader of the Russian mafia Nikolay Yasinovsky was found. For what the athlete was in 7 prisons, it is understandable: only for refusing to become an informant.
Over one and a half million US dollars of local taxpayers spent on the development of a bodybuilder, but it turned out that the Russian mafia has nothing to do with this matter.
At the end of his sentence, Nikolai was deported to his homeland with three dollars in his pocket.
Strong athletes do not lose heart!
Nikolay Yasinovsky is a bodybuilder who has not lost faith in himself. He began his career as an instructor in the gym. Then he was promoted to manager, deputy director, and as a result, the athlete became a co-owner of a network of fitness clubs in Novorossiysk and Balashikha.

Many athletes of that time denied that they were taking drugs, and tried to hide it in every possible way, including Nikolai Yasinovsky. Then there was no specialized literature, all doses had to be selected by trial and error. And the lack of information generated a lot of nonsense. For example, many gave injections precisely to those muscles that they wanted to pump.
