How can I get a war veteran certificate? What is required for this? What rights can this document give to this or that person? It is benefits that interest many. Indeed, in Russia a variety of bonuses are provided for certain services, or for any special status. And war veterans are just those beneficiaries. There is even a separate law that spells out what benefits and opportunities are provided for this category of people. What should I pay attention to first of all?
Who is eligible
So who can get the identity being studied. After all, not everyone has such an opportunity, only certain categories of persons have the right to a special status as a veteran. The Law "On War Veterans " indicates that the following citizens can apply for the title:
- Military personnel or persons liable for military service who either serve, or are retired, or resigned. If necessary, these citizens should take part in hostilities.
- Employees of the Department of Internal Affairs or the authorities of the USSR. As in the past case, these persons are entrusted with the performance of military duties.

- The certificate of war veterans can be obtained by those who flew from the territory of the USSR to Afghanistan during the period of military operations.
- People involved in the maintenance of military units (Soviet or Russian), which are located outside the country, in the territories of foreign states. To obtain the status of a veteran, such citizens should have received injuries or concussions.
- The military, who received orders and medals of the USSR or the Russian Federation. Rewards must be bound without fail with military operations.
- Working in Afghanistan from 1979 (December) to 1989 (the same month).

Also, this category of persons retains the right to free education and advanced training, if required by the head. Payment for these procedures comes entirely from the employer's funds. You cannot request money from a veteran for tuition.
The cultural component of life should also not be forgotten. After a citizen manages to obtain a certificate of a war veteran, he will be entitled to preferential visits to sports and cultural centers. - name of the document with a series and number thereof;
- name of the authority that issued the certificate (usually the Ministry of Internal Affairs);
- signature of the owner of the document;
- a list of benefits and bonuses due to a citizen;
- date of issue;
- signature of the authorized person (sometimes with a seal) who issued the paper.
No more entries are made in the document. In the presence of third-party signatures, or any other information, the certificate will be considered invalid. This should be noted.
