The creators of the project tried to play on nostalgia, and therefore the story should have looked like one of the episodes of the old series. And they succeeded, but in a bad sense - all the action taking place on the screen is striking in the absence of logic and common sense. All too implausible.

But since this is still a comedy, you need to be condescending - not an intriguing plot, but interactive humor and gags are welcomed in this genre.

About humor

The humor in the film is vulgar and stupid, but sometimes quite funny. This is not to say that the comedy as a whole failed - a few moments were very funny, however, they revolved around a genital topic. Viewers have seen this more than once in other films, and “Rescuers Malibu” is no different from dozens of other similar Hollywood comedies, teeming with dirty tricks. And if there had not been such a stir around the project, positioned as the reincarnation of a good series, then it would have been treated accordingly.

But individual gags did not cause laughter, but disgust, for example, in one scene the hero touches the genitals of a corpse, and the remains of a decomposed body fall into his mouth.
