Anime Akame ga Kill is an adaptation of the eponymous manga "Takahiro", released since 2013. Despite the relative novelty, the series has already managed to gain popularity and earn good reviews from the audience.
Plot
Which resident of a decrepit little village does not dream of good earnings and fame in the capital? The main character of the anime, Tatsumi, of course, is no exception, because he is young and ambitious, like many guys at his age. He is driven by the desire to save his home, so he goes to the city with his friends.
But the anime Akame ga Kill could hardly have become popular if Tatsumi's venture came true so easily. Already on the first day, the main character is separated from friends, and in a big city, a naive guy strives to circle a finger, which is why he remains without a penny in his pocket, and things don’t get stuck with work.
However, Tatsumi is very lucky - he meets a rich girl named Aria, ready to help him and shelter at home until the young man stands on his feet. With one condition: the main character must become her bodyguard. The outcome of the case is clear and true, because what can a village boy oppose to an experienced killer? Nevertheless, Tatsumi agrees, and that same night one of the many groups attacked Aria (in Akame ga Kill, the characters are divided into separate organizations).
Unable to cope with his duty, Tatsumi nearly dies - chance saves him. However, everything is not so simple - members of the organization claim that Aria is actually not as cute as it seems at first glance, and her closet is literally bursting with skeletons ... Literally.
Groupings
In Akame ga Kill, characters have multifaceted character traits, but their life goals can be recognized by the activities of the groups of which they are members. In total, there are six such organizations in the anime:
- Night Raid or the so-called revolutionaries, is a group of professional killers whose main goal is the overthrow of corrupt authorities and maintaining order in the Empire. To achieve their aspirations, its members crack down on bribe takers and killers hired by them. "Night Raid" confront the "Huntsman."
- Huntsmen are an elite state anti-crime unit, which, according to the government of the Empire, of course, includes the Night Raid. The members of this squad are in various departments of the capital and own teigu (artifacts, in Akame ga Kill characters use them to acquire certain abilities).
- The Three Beasts are elite soldiers operating under the direction of the founder of the Huntsman.
- Wild Hunt is a secret police consisting of six extremely dangerous and dodgy criminals, often abusing their power. Their main goal is the destruction of the Night Raid as the main enemy of the government.
- "Four Demons" - a detachment consisting of highly qualified soldiers subordinate to the Prime Minister.
- "The Way of the World" is a religious group created 10 years before the events shown in the anime. It is distinguished by altruism, because it is of the opinion that doing good deeds will help not to tarnish the soul.
Akame ga Kill: Night Raid Characters
This manga is crowded with characters, but in the anime at the moment they are involved slightly less.
- Tatsumi is the main character of this work, which has a rather controversial character. On the one hand, the young man is very naive and benevolent, on the other hand, he is cruel and balanced if his friends are in danger.
- Akame is one of the main characters. A cold-blooded and unemotional killer, taking care of her comrades in her own way. In childhood, it was sold by parents for training in an elite squad of killers, which explains its abilities.
- Mine is a hot-tempered and extremely unrestrained girl who is a member of the Night Raid, a sniper.
- Leone - an adult member of the "Night Squad", has a very frivolous behavior and external frivolity, in fact, copes with his duties.
- Shelley is an insanely clumsy girl with a kind and caring soul. Previously subjected to ridicule and social isolation, but since she discovered her talent for killing people, the situation has changed a lot.
- Najenda is the founder of the Raid. Thanks to her experience in the army, the Empire developed excellent leadership skills and analytical thinking. Very respected by the rest of the group.
- Lubbock is a fairly calm man with manners of a pervert. I am familiar with Najenda from the time of the imperial army and helped her fake death documents in order to desert.
Huntsman
The second main organization around which the plot of the anime "Akame ga Kill" anime is twisted is Jaeger. Its leader is Esdeath - a former colleague of Najenda and the strongest General of the Empire in combination, with strong sadistic inclinations. During the plot, falls in love with Tatsumi. Under her leadership are Bols, a masked killer who disguises a disgusting appearance, Seryu, a girl obsessed with justice after her father’s death, and Ran, Esdeath’s deputy.

Unlike a rather long manga, Akame ga Kill anime season 1. And if the plot itself is recognized by many as very exciting, then the reviews about the characters are different. In manga reviews, there were often negative comments about the "Night Raid", which reported excessive brutality of members of the organization. However, oddly enough, “Jaeger”, on the contrary, received only positive criticism.
