Family, childhood and youth

Volontir Mihai Ermolaevich was born in 1934, on March 9. His homeland is the village of Glieni, located on the territory of the Kingdom of Romania (now it is Moldova).

Mihai's father, Ermolai Melentievich, was a forester. The family lived near the commune of Olishkany. The future actor grew up an active and smart child.

At the age of 18, Mihai Volontir entered the pedagogical school. Soon he began to practice in a rural school, namely in the village of Popoutsy. In 1955, the young man received a diploma. He moved to the village of Lipcheny, where he took up the post of club manager.

The beginning of creative activity

In 1957, Mihai became a member of the republican amateur show. After this, an energetic and talented guy was invited to work in the music and drama theater located in the city of Balti. The volunteer agreed. The first performance in which he performed on the stage of this institution was called “The Chicken”. And over the entire theatrical career, our hero played over 120 roles. This only speaks of his industriousness and devotion to the chosen profession.

The film career of Mihai Volontira began in 1967 and immediately with the main role. In the Moldovan comedy Need a Porter, he successfully reincarnated as Ivan Turbinke, a soldier of the imperial army.

The second picture with his participation was released in 1968. We are talking about the dramatic film "This Moment". The character of Volontir is a young tramp and romantic, whose name is Mihai. He voluntarily enters the fight against the Francoists.

In the period from 1969 to 1978, the filmography of the Moldavian actor was replenished with seventeen works. Among them are the drama “Bridges” (Petrake), the picture “The Root of Life” (collective farm chairman) and the political drama “Centaurs” (Evaristo).

Gypsy is a movie released in 1979. The main roles in this family melodrama went to Mihai Volontir and Klara Luchko. Both Ukrainian (Soviet) actress and Moldavian actor managed to create vivid and realistic images. Budulay Romanov is a strong-willed gypsy who is used to traveling around the world in search of freedom and simple human happiness. He falls in love with a Russian woman, Claudius Pukhlyakova.
