On October 12, 2016, the second season of the sitcom “Mummies”, which tells about the adventures of three girlfriends, ended. So much the audience liked it, especially the female half, that the series “Mom” was extended for the third season. The feedback from fans of this project is quite diverse: some praise the series, others consider it base. Who is right?
The series "Mom", season 1: reviews and plot
In the center of the plot of the sitcom is the fate of three girlfriends: Julia, Ani and Vicki.
Julia is a mother of many children. In her youth, she dreamed of becoming a journalist, however, having married Roma, she gave birth to 3 babies and overgrown with household chores. In the first episodes, Julia is invited to work in her favorite magazine. She grabs at the chance to fulfill a dream, only she finds it difficult to combine children and work.
Anna is just learning to be a mom. Her son Misha is growing. At the same time, she is trying to remain attractive to her common-law husband Ivan. But it turns out that he is cheating on Ane. Having driven out the spouse, the woman dreams of starting a new life.
Andrologist Victoria does not yet have children and a husband, moreover, she does not even have a boyfriend. Vika has a close friend, Kostya, who has been in love with the girl since the time of the institute. To attract the attention of the girl, he sends her letters. But another fan of Victoria, a geography teacher Andrei, took advantage of this. He declared himself the author of the messages, which earned the favor of the girl.
Despite the straightforward plot, many viewers called the series “Mommies” informative and unobtrusive. Reviews of women who happened to encounter problems, like those of heroines, are less positive. They praise the project for interesting plot moves, as well as the ability of screenwriters to deftly combine the comic with the tragic. At the same time, they criticize the implausible image of the material side.
Julia and Roma are owners of an apartment with a giant footage. Meanwhile, the main source of profit is the work of Roma. He is a seller in the household appliance department. But they live at the level of the owners of a large company, they allow themselves to buy expensive things.
The same situation with Anya. Having expelled the husband and having refused the alimony, the unemployed housewife is unclear what lives on.
Victoria is the only trinity whose material well-being is understandable: she works in a private clinic. Some viewers are interested in how Vika fits into the category of mothers, because she has no children.
"Mom", season 2: reviews of the series and the plot
The beginning of the second season brought a lot of surprises. Vika realized that Kostya was the author of the messages, and, leaving Andrei, moved to her beloved man. However, the idyll was violated by the pregnancy of the girl. Most of the season, Victoria is trying to find out who the father of her child.
Anya realizes that she loves the writer Sergey. She leaves Vanya and moves with her son to her lover. Over the course of most episodes, the girl is building a new life, but in the end she throws Seryozha and converges with Vanya.
Julia has most of the problems with her father, who went to their prison and wants to make friends with his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.
Among the positive feedback from viewers, the love triangle won many praises : Kostya-Vika-Andrey. Also, the appearance of Julia's father was a good find.
I was pleased with the correction of the "stocks" of the first season in the second series of "Mom". Responses deserved praise the change of place of work of Roma. In addition, there was an explanation of how Julia, a housewife with no work experience, got a position in a fashion magazine. While still behind bars, the girl’s father as a compensation received a magazine and, through a friend, provided work for his daughter. The situation with the teacher's salary was also beaten, because of which Vick paid for the wedding.
Despite the many advantages, the second season has acquired new flaws. Many actions of heroes have no motive. For example, Anya, who has been trying to become her own in the family of Sergei all season, sharply breaks off relations with him and returns to her ex-husband. According to many viewers, this was done to revive the storyline associated with Anya, because she was the weakest in the new season.
Metamorphoses of the character of Wiki were especially criticized. If at the beginning of the season she was smart and resourceful, then in the last series the girl became moody. Some attribute this to pregnancy, others explain it as unsuccessful attempts by scriptwriters to increase passions around a love triangle. In any case, the series “Mom” gradually began to become less interesting. Reviews of this are increasingly appearing on forums about the sitcom.
The television series "Mom": actors and roles
The project starred many famous Russian artists. The role of Ani was performed by Elena Nikolaeva (“I Will Return”, “Freud's Method”).
She is the only actress to have children. But the artist, playing mother of many children, Julia (Svetlana Kolpakova), has no offspring yet. The role of Vika’s turtle-tail was performed by the beginning actress Alexandra Bulycheva.
As for the second halves of the mothers, Sergey Lavygin, playing the spouse of Julia, everyone knows by the role of the cook in the "Kitchen". And both Ani's lovers (Vanya - Alexander Ratnikov, Sergey - Pavel Trubiner) began their careers with Soldiers, and then starred in episodes of other popular television series.
The performers of the role of Andrey - Vladimir Zherebtsov (“Fizruk”, “Life that never existed”) and Roman Polyansky (“I'll be back”, “Toys”), who played the pediatrician Konstantin, also belong to serial artists.
Tatyana Lutaeva (editor of the magazine), Maxim Vitorgan (head of Ivan and Roman) and Vladimir Simonov (father of Julia) periodically appear in episodes.
TV series "Oh Mommies"
Sometimes “Mummies” is compared with the Belarusian-Russian project “Oh, Mommies”. The series (positive reviews from viewers) tells about pregnant women.
Comparing these two sitcoms, many note that “Oh, Mummies” more justifies its name.
Despite the negative reviews about “Mummies”, the television series has not lost popularity for the second year. And although there are fewer scenes with children in the new season, fans hope that this omission will be corrected in the future.
