Biography

The future world famous actor was born on June 19, 1972 in the French town of Rueil-Malmaison. During his studies at the school, Jean showed particular interest in philosophy and plastic arts. After its completion, the young man went to serve in the army.

Despite the fact that the Dujardin family had nothing to do with the bohemian world, little Jean from childhood loved to entertain everyone around. However, he could not even think about becoming an artist. But after serving in the army, teaming up with several comedian actors, among whom were Eric Massot, Eric Collado, Bruno Salomon and Emmanuel Jouclay, he created the band Nous C Nous. Young people even recorded a disc of the same name. As a result, only at the age of 24 did Jean realize that his calling was to be an actor. A future celebrity with a worldwide reputation began to build her future life in this direction.

jean dujardin filmography

The debut of the French comedian on the TV screen took place in 1999. He played one of the roles in the series called "Boy and Girl." Jean starred in this project for four years, and in the end earned himself the fame of a talented and promising actor. In 2002, Dujardin made his debut on the big screen, playing in the comedy “If I Were Rich” as the seller of luxury shoes.

A year later, Jean again appeared in front of his audience, starring in the films "Car Keys" and "Rose Family". The last picture, which tells of the adventures of runaway prisoners who were hiding in the house of a very strange family, is rightfully considered one of the best works of Dujardin. In general, thanks to filming in comedies, Jean gained fame as the best comedian in France.

Continuation of film career

In 2002, Jean Dujardin, whose filmography already included a number of popular paintings, continued to act actively. In 2002, a new film with his participation entitled “All Girls Are Crazy” was released on the big screens. In this picture, Jean played Commissioner Lorenzi. Very soon, the name of the actor in France became synonymous with success. So, at once two films with his participation “The magnificent Brice” and “Wedding” became real hits of distribution in Dujardin's homeland. Interestingly, in the first picture, Jean embodied on the screen the image that he invented ten years ago to work on stage.

Despite the success of the comedic works of the actor, he soon easily switched to roles in films of other genres. In 2004, he took part in the filming of the detective "Collector", and in 2005 he worked on the costume drama "Do Not Renounce."

Way to the top

Jean Dujardin, films with whose participation were indispensable success, in 2006 achieved even greater career heights. This was facilitated by the brilliantly performed role of Agent 117 in a nostalgic comedy-parody entitled "Agent 117: Cairo - a spy nest." Thanks to this work, the actor became widely known not only in his homeland, but also throughout Europe, and even the United States. The film itself in 2006 entered the top ten highest grossing paintings in France.

However, similar success had a flip side. In all subsequent comedies with the participation of Dujardin, the audience certainly saw in him exclusively Agent 117, which very discouraged the talented actor. However, when, several years later, director Michel Hazanavicius offered to shoot in the sequel to "Agent 117 ...", Jean replied with agreement. This picture was a great success in France, but in other countries it was not so warmly received. In the same 2009, Dujardin signed a contract with Hazanavicius, providing for his participation in the filming of another five parts about the adventures of Agent 117.
