Perhaps, we have not seen such projects yet. The original idea, based, nevertheless, on certain violations in the form of loan defaults on the part of the protagonist, touches on a new topic - patronage. Positioning itself as a business comedy, a sitcom of Russian production aired on September 8 this year. The first and so far only season, including 20 episodes, ended a month later. A kind of custody of minors, backed by a form of relationship guaranteed by law, served as the key idea of ​​the Family Business series, whose actors and roles very quickly found their audience.

History of creation

Alexey Chistikov is a relatively new person in the ranks of modern young directors. However, it was he who was assigned to take the director's chair in the new project of Storey First Production and Mac Media, which received a task from the STS entertainment channel. However, STS has long conquered its fans exclusively with comedy projects. Especially put on the original idea.

Since we are talking about it, it’s worthwhile to say right away that this very idea did not appear immediately. Screenwriter Denis Kaimakov, who previously wrote for “Soldiers” and “Happy Together,” refused the original version of the script. According to him, he was quite good, but he looked very much like a similar story that happened in the drama “The Invisible Side” with the participation of Sandra Bullock. Creative producer Timur Akavov, who is the second screenwriter, adds that at this stage the final script fully reflects the general idea, and is unlikely to leave anyone indifferent. General producer Vyacheslav Murugov led the entire process on behalf of the representative of STS, by whose order the Family Business was created. Actors and roles were ready for the on-screen embodiment, only casting and the beginning of the filming itself remained ahead.

At the heart of the basics

The young guy Ilya Ponomarev became the central character, around whom the whole action takes place. For serious debts, namely the delay in repayment of the loan, he loses all property, including his personal office. Finding money to pay off debts seems to be a very unrealistic task, but a friend who arrived in time, social worker Nikolai Stepanovich, tells you how to get out of the situation - Ilya should take one or two children in the care, primarily based on money guaranteed by the state every month. A little immoral and shameful, but there is a problem, and it needs to be solved. As a result, the company is recruited from five people: a wheelchair user, twins, a bully and a boy who can instantly do any kind of disaster like a flood or fire.

Each child requires an individual approach. Ilya is helped by a neighbor Lida, who rents a room next to her. Young people have a relationship, although at first they are quite cool in perceiving new feelings. At the end of the season, Lida moves to Ilya, he makes her an offer, and together they decide to adopt “her” children.

The main role of Ilya Ponomarev is played by Vladimir Yaglych. The native Muscovite and the ex-husband of actress Svetlana Khodchenkova, he appeared on the movie screens for a long time and during this time managed to win audience love. His most famous works are “We are from the Future”, “Princess and the Pauper”, “Ticket for Vegas”.

The central and only female role is given to the young actress Anna Starshenbaum. She is known for her roles in the films “Children Under 16” and “My Boyfriend is an Angel”. The actress embodied the image of Constance Bonacieux in the mini-series “Three Musketeers”, shot by Sergei Zhigunov. One of her latest work was the adult comedy Sex, Coffee, Cigarettes. In addition, the owner of a gorgeous figure, Anna participates in candid photo shoots for men's magazines.

As for young actors, only Sergei Pokhodaev can boast of filming experience. He has roles in “School”, “Graduation”, “Fir-trees” and “Mom”. Andrei Rudnevsky, Artem Bashenin and Sofya Gracheva made their debut in Family Business.

1. Semyon Treskunov, playing Lenya, was, perhaps, in a better position compared to the rest of his young colleagues. He was given the opportunity to demonstrate the negative qualities that the scriptwriters generously awarded to his character. Little bully Lenya was supposed to become a cynic and an ulcer. But as the character was filmed and developed, positive traits were added to his character.
2. Filming the first season did not cause much difficulty. The houses closest to the studio pavilion were found to select street scenes. All interior episodes of the apartment and office were shot in pavilion decorations.
3. For Anna Starshenbaum and Vladimir Yaglych, the first experience of joint filming did not happen on the series “Family Business”. Actors, whose photos adorn the posters of another STS project - “Love is not what it seems”, before that played a couple in love in it. So on-screen relationships are not new to them. According to rumors, the romance of the actors continued outside the set. However, there is no reliable confirmation of this, since Starshenbaum is married to actor Alexei Bardukov. Yaglych himself, after a divorce from Svetlana Khodchenkova, has not yet bound himself with new obligations.

The success of the series can be judged by ratings and audience reviews. Despite the fact that no continuation is expected, the project was warmly received by the public. The actors of the series “Family Business” themselves spoke about this more than once, for whom it served as a great opportunity to do an interesting job. According to Vladimir Yaglych, he wanted to create a subtle and at the same time vivid image of a novice father. The most difficult relationship was with the child actors - this is a special category that requires respectful attention. For him, who has no children in real life, this experience has become colossal.

Like the beloved “Voronin” and “My Fair Nanny”, which touch on the topic of family and children, the series “Family Business” has all chances to replenish this list, the actors and roles of which have become the audience’s favorites for their sincere attitude to parenting and genuine humor.
