From childhood, the future actor was not distinguished by a calm and obedient character: sent by faithful parents to a Jesuit school, he was completely not interested in learning. Young Bill preferred to fight with peers and in every possible way to disorderly. Also in his school years began his passion for golf.

Entering a medical college, Bill did not improve at all: regular absenteeism and a fascination with soft drugs did not contribute to an improvement in his behavior. Once he was detained at the airport with marijuana in his luggage, as a result of which he was immediately expelled from school. After the incident, Bill Murray moved to Chicago, where for some time he earned his living by random part-time jobs.

Bill's acting career began with his arrival at Second City Studios. After some time, he received an invitation to the legendary Saturday Night Live show, where he was to perform with John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd. The program with their participation won incredible success, and soon Murray began to be invited to film.

The first films with Bill Murray, relatively louder pictures with his participation, were not particularly successful, but made the name of the aspiring actor more and more recognizable. Between 1981 and 1984, Murray appears, among other things, in Tutsi, Volunteer Voluntarily, and Razor Blades.

Bill's first truly noticeable success is the role of Peter Wenkman in Ghostbusters, the classic 1984 film (directed by Ivan Reitman). The film has collected a lot of millions of dollars at the box office and was nominated for prestigious film awards: Golden Globes and Oscars.

So, Bill Murray becomes the new Hollywood star. Photos of papparazi, annoying fans, deterioration in personal life - the flip side of the glory, which the actor also had to face. The relationship between Bill and his first wife Margaret is gradually deteriorating. Murray meets with Jennifer Butler during the filming of the movie "New Christmas Tale" and moves to live with his new lover, leaving his wife with two sons. Margaret agreed to divorce only in 1994. By 1997, Bill and Jennifer already had two children and a third was on the way. At this time, the couple decided it was time to get married.

Bill's acting career also did not stand still. The legendary 1993 film, Groundhog Day , only reinforced its worldwide fame. In 1999, the actor was again nominated for a Golden Globe for his role in Rushmore Academy. Now loud blockbusters with a huge budget (Charlie's Angels) and films by independent directors (Broken Flowers, Translation Difficulties) coexist perfectly with each other in Murray’s filmography.

In 2008, Bill Murray was again divorced (at that moment she and Jennifer had four children), and to this day the actor remains a bachelor.

In the recently released film "Welcome to Zombieland," Murray plays himself, and now fans of "Ghostbusters" are counting on the imminent release of the next continuation of the movie.
