Since school times, each of us has been familiar with the basic rules of an active team game - volleyball. Someone thanks to long hard training and matches for the honor of his native team firmly remembered the difficult rules of this sport, but for some they still remained a “dark forest”. Assists, the course of the game, and most importantly, the arrangement of players in volleyball is something that many non-professional athletes neglect, but despite this, playing by these rules can be much more interesting than without them!
Match Preparation: Field Regulations
The All-Russian Volleyball Federation establishes the rules of the game, which are regulated by official documents. These documents contain detailed time limits for the game, the size of the field and its zoning. So, the width of the field should be 9 meters, and the length - 18. The playing field is divided using a grid stretched at a height of about 2.5 meters. For competitions of women's teams nets are used, pulled a little lower (difference: 20 centimeters).
The zoning of the volleyball field is as follows: the area of each team is divided into 6 zones. In one of them, players can make transfers and move around. It is noteworthy that the players throughout the game change their position, moving clockwise. The arrangement of players in volleyball is predetermined by dividing the field into zones for the defendants of a certain type.
Illustration of the movement of the players: the serving player is in the first zone, as a result, passing to the fifth zone, he bypasses the libero (as the defender is called in the middle of the field). The Libero moves along the back line, therefore it is deprived of independence in conducting attacks. The shape of a libero player is often different from the shape of other players. The ball used by players occupies a special place in the rules of the game. It is usually tri-color (white, blue and yellow - in most cases). The mass of the ball is not more than 280 grams, and the diameter is 67 centimeters.
All about the players: volleyball arrangement
The volleyball team should include 14 players, among which - 6 active, and the rest serve as a substitute. In one game batch, no more than six substitutions can be made. The die decides which team delivers first. The serving player makes an attack hit from the back line. Since the goal of the players of each team is to get points by hitting empty places in the field, the server has no chance to make a mistake. If he gets into the net or steps outside the playing field, points are awarded to the opposing team, and the right to serve passes to them.
"Touching moments"
Volleyball is a game, interesting, first of all, in that it takes into account all the details. And the volleyball arrangement is far from the last important moment of the game. For example, you can play the ball in your own half of the field in no more than three touches. If there are more of them, then the ball is passed to the opponent. As a rule, three touches contain the following actions of players: receiving the ball, passing, attack. It is noteworthy that in volleyball one player has the right to touch the ball with any part of the body only once. A player standing on the first line of the field can attack from any part of the first strip, the back line of the players can attack from a mark of three meters.
Placement Errors and Penalties
The arrangement in volleyball is not as complicated as it might seem at first glance. The three players taking the places closest to the net are called front-line players. Their zones are the fourth, third and second. Accordingly, the left, center and right players. The arrangement of the remaining players in volleyball is as follows: the fifth, sixth and first zones are occupied by the players of the back line. The left, center and right player are also considered. If errors in the arrangement were timely noted by the match secretary, then all points received by the players of the offending team for this period are canceled, and the players, in turn, are required to take the right places in accordance with the zones.
