Actress Margarita Kosheleva was born in early December 1939 in Moscow. Since childhood, she was fond of dancing, and for this reason, at the end of school, she decided to enter the choreographic school at the Bolshoi Theater. Successfully graduated from it in 1958, at the age of nineteen.
A year later, Kosheleva was invited to take part in the film "Peers", which was directed by Vasily Ordynsky. Before filming the picture, the actress had to work hard to prepare enough for a serious role - she needed good physical preparation to convincingly look in the frame as a rock-climber.
And she did it. As she later admitted in an interview, she worked hard, didn’t actually need the help of an understudy, and she performed many tricks and performed complex elements on her own. Literally everyone on the set admired the courage and heroism of the actress, including Vladimir Vysotsky, who composed the song “Rock Climber” and dedicated it to the actress.
Personal life and recent years
Margarita Kosheleva married a Ukrainian director, whom she met on the set of the film Katya-Katyusha and moved to Kiev with him in the late 80s. In the last years of her life, Margarita starred mainly in Ukrainian films, was part of the staff of actors working at the Dovzhenko Film Studio.
