History: The Beginning
Bayern Munich has become the second club in the city. It arose forty years after the appearance of its predecessor. For some time the team even shared the stadium with FC “Munich 1860”. It is hard to believe that one of the most powerful clubs in the world started with the usual football section, which also existed under the roof of the gymnastics building. And the name, which today is booming around the world, actually appeared in an ordinary setting - in a small pub where the club organizers drank in the evening and thought what they should do with their offspring.
The team began very modestly. Then there was not such an outstanding “Bayern Munich”. Form - and that was rather weak. Even a full-fledged composition as such was not recruited. Everyone entered the field: the founders of the club, its president, ordinary students who still could not really play. But no one gave up. By the way, this may seem like superstition, but the club’s leadership was determined from the very beginning. The Bavarians won their first match, held with FC “First Munich”, with a crushing score of 5: 2. True, then there were solid losses - 8-0, for example (with the Prague DFC), but the Munich team did not even think of giving up.
First successes
In order to achieve truly tangible results, FC Bayern Munich has come a very long and incredibly difficult path. The first successes to the team came 32 years after the foundation of the club. Then the Bavarians took part in the German championship. The final of the tournament was very significant for the whole club. After all, then their first truly significant victory took place. They managed to beat the Frankfurt “Eintracht”, scoring an opponent 2 goals. Sadly, after the rise of the National Socialists, the Bavarians ceased to win. The first places began to be occupied by the Schalke 04 club, which was supported by Adolf Hitler himself.
But the “golden era” came soon. Since the late 60s, the team began to acquire the reputation that it successfully maintains today. The club began to participate in the elite German championship (in the first they won third place), then - in the Cup Cup (where the players got first place), the national championship, in the Champions Cup.
