Carier start

Rodriguez Ricardo was born on August 25, 1992 in Switzerland, where he began to play football. He has a Swiss passport only for the reason that he was born on the territory of this country, but he himself is from a Spanish-Chilean family. At the age of nine, Rodriguez enrolled in the football academy of the Schwaemdingen club, where he spent three whole years before being watched in one of the strongest clubs in Switzerland - Zurich. In 2004, he moved there and before the age of eighteen he performed at the youth academy in various age categories. In 2010, when the defender became an adult, they signed a professional contract with him. However, he had already managed to play six matches, while he was still only 17.

In his first season for the club, Rodriguez Ricardo entered the field only 14 times and scored one goal, and in the second season he became a regular base player. In just six months, he spent 26 matches, noting another goal when he was noticed by the German Wolfsburg. โ€œWolvesโ€ gave eight and a half million euros for a talented young football player, and have never regretted it.

The game for Wolfsburg

Ricardo Rodriguez immediately became a base player in the club - he spent 17 matches for Wolfsburg in six months, and from the next season he began to win the role of a key player. In the next four seasons, he entered the field another 149 times, marking a total of 20 goals. It was with Wolfsburg that the defender won his first trophy - the 2015 German Cup. And it was in the camp of the โ€œwolvesโ€ that Rodriguez became one of the strongest left-backs in the world, which attracted the attention of many top clubs, among which was even Real Madrid. But so far the player has not decided on such a serious step.
