After graduating from school, she submitted documents to VGIK, but just in case, and to the historical-archival institute. And in 1961 she got her first noticeable work, she played Verunka in the film “The Battle on the Way”.

In 1962, Natasha participated in the filming of "High Water". It happened in Tarusa, it was there that she met her future husband. Sound engineer Vladimir Krachkovsky began to take special care of the girl, for example, instead of a bouquet of roses, he brought her a tray of breakfast with cottage cheese and delicious buns. And he turned out to be right, it was male care that the future actress Natalya Krachkovskaya was conquered.

The turning point was her acquaintance with the famous Leonid Gaidai. He was looking for an actress for the role of Madame Gritsatsueva. There were two contenders: Nonna Mordyukova and Galina Volchek.
