A series of films "Gangster Petersburg" was shot based on the novels of Andrei Konstantinov and is largely based on real events. The actors of "Gangster Petersburg" embodied on the screens characters who have prototypes in real life. Who starred in the second part of the series and how was the film rated by viewers?
âGangster Petersburg. Lawyer ": actors. Dmitry Pevtsov
âLawyerâ is the second part of the film âGangster Petersburgâ, which consists of 10 episodes. For the first time, all series were shown on NTV in 2000.
The actors of Gangster Petersburg are quite famous people in Russian cinema, so there is nothing strange in the fact that Dmitry Pevtsov got the main role in the film. The actor became an honored artist of the Russian Federation back in 1995. He starred in such popular films as âDemonsâ by Igor Talankin, âQueen Margotâ by Alexander Muratov, âCountess de Monsoroâ by Vladimir Popkov.
In the film âLawyerâ Dmitry Pevtsov got the role of investigator Chilishchev, who, after the murder of his parents, is dismissed from the prosecutor's office and deliberately infiltrated into mafia structures under the guise of a lawyer in order to find out who âorderedâ his father and mother.
Moreover, Sergey Chelishchev finds himself in a difficult love triangle in the movie Gangster Petersburg: the actors Serebryakov and Pevtsov play childhood friends who are in love with the same woman - Ekaterina (performed by Olga Drozdova). Between the characters a difficult relationship develops that contribute to the passions and the subsequent tragic denouement of the plot.
Gangster Petersburg: actors. Olga Drozdova
Olga Drozdova played in the detective the role of Ekaterina Shmeleva. The actors of Gangster Petersburg, Alexei Serebryakov and Dmitry Pevtsov, or rather their screen heroes, have known Ekaterina since childhood. In their student days, their paths diverged, and friends for a long time did not know anything about each other. But in the 90s, Oleg Zvantsev (Alexei Serebryakov), associated with the criminal world, accidentally meets Catherine in Moscow, helps her in a difficult situation, they get closer, then get married.
When Oleg is sent to prison, and Sergey Chelishchev comes to Zvantsevâs group, the woman finds herself between two fires. She loves Sergei, but for a long time she does not dare to âcross the lineâ, because in a criminal environment such novels end in tears. Unfortunately, the
love triangle of the protagonists led to their death at the end of the film.
Gangster Petersburg, whose actors are trying to tell an entertaining detective story, is apparently not without melodrama. That is why the series was interesting to a wide audience of viewers.
Lev Borisov as an antibiotic
The actors of âGangster Petersburgâ mainly play persons with a fictional biography. So the character of Lev Borisov - the criminal authority of Antibiotic - has a real prototype: a certain Vladimir Kumarin, who in the early 90s led the Tambov organized group in St. Petersburg.
The plot around the Antibiotic revolves not only in the second part of the film âGangster Petersburgâ. The actors and characters of the first part also suffered from Vitka Antibiotic's exorbitant ambitions.
Victor Pavlovich Govorov is very cunning and resourceful, no one ever knows what this person is thinking. Predicting his actions is almost impossible.
If the antibiotic is cracking down on people who are objectionable to it, then it is very cruel. When at the end of the film he finds out that both lawyers - Chelishchev and Zvantsev - decided to âdumpâ him, Govorov gives the order to kill both.
In addition to Gangster Petersburg, the actor Lev Borisov can be seen in films such as âHeightâ (1957), â12 Chairsâ (1976) and âBallad of a Soldierâ (1959).
Alexey Serebryakov in the role of lawyer Zvantsev
"Gangster Petersburg", in which the actors played quite well-known, became a high point for another artist - Alexei Serebryakov. Alexei has been in films since 1978, but he was not trusted in serious roles until the 2000s, except in the movie "Afghan Break", where he played Sergeant Arsenov.
âGangster Petersburg. Lawyer â, the actors and characters of which aroused keen interest among the audience, made Serebryakov a star of Russian cinema. After filming in the detective, he got the main role in the historical film Bayazet and the detective Escape, and a little later, the main roles in the series Shtrafbat, Charm of Evil and The Terrorist Ivanova.
In "Gangster Petersburg" the actor played the role of Oleg Zvantsev - a friend of Sergey Chelishchev and husband of Ekaterina Shmeleva. The character Serebryakova dies in the 10th series.
Oleg Basilashvili
In Gangster Petersburg, the actors were carefully selected by the director Vladimir Bortko, because it was important to maintain the credibility of the film, to give each performer a feasible role for him. However, Oleg Basilashvili is a master of such a level that any role seems to be on his shoulder.
In Soviet films, we are used to seeing Oleg Valerianovich as intellectuals, educated people. Sometimes he played scoundrels, as, for example, in "Office Romance" by Eldar Ryazanov. But in Gangster Petersburg, the actor surpassed himself: the viewer had never seen an actor on the screen so bloated, so deceitful and duplicitous. All these characteristics, of course, relate to the character of Basilashvili - prosecutor Nikolai Prokhorenko.
Many actors in the movie "Gangster Petersburg" played characters who do not live to see the end of the film. Basilashviliâs character died of a heart attack long before the detectiveâs final episodes.
Other actors
The famous actors of the film "Gangster Petersburg" are not limited to the personages of Basilashvili, Pevtsov and Serebryakov. The well-known Armen Dzhigarkhanyan, who played the role of the criminal authority of Gurgen, was involved in the film.
Got a good role and Alexander Lykov ("Deadly Force", "Saboteur"), who played in the picture of the operative of Subbotin. Evgeny Sidikhin acted as the principal director of the UGRO Nikita Kudasov.
In the film âGangster Petersburg-2â, whose actors were so fond of the viewers, Zinaida Sharko, known for Vitaly Melnikovâs famous paintings âThe Moon Was Full of Gardensâ and Kira Muratovaâs Long Ways, starred in episodic roles. In addition, in the detective you can see Alexander Domogarov (âFire and Swordâ, âCountess de Monsoroâ), Peter Velyaminov (âShadows disappear at noonâ), Viktor Sukhorukov (âBrother-2â, âSatisfactionâ), Stanislav Landgraf ("Streets of Broken Lights") and Alexei Devotchenko ("Cinderella Hunt").
