Tired and sick, Robin came to his distant relative, a nun, to let him bleed (such treatment was widely used in medieval Europe). Upon learning who was in front of her, she opened a vein and left the hero bleeding. When the door slammed behind the woman and the bolt closed, the shooter realized that his end had come. He blows his horn, calling friends, but help comes too late. Sensing the approach of death, he bequeathed to Little John to bury him in a wide grave lined with pebbles and grass, and lay his faithful bow close by.
