At first, when Belyavsky was in the role of the Leading Pan, the program was called Good evening, but later its humorous format went beyond the usual framework, and the program turned into a cult series. For a Soviet man living in the era of the Iron Curtain, the transfer was an outlet to the outer world of freedom of speech, cozy cafes and a fearless opportunity to joke - all that people of the country of the Soviets were deprived of.
