We have gone far from primitive people, but one factor of life remains constant in human life. This is a hazard factor. Despite the fact that people are doing their best to make their environment safe, accidents can happen anywhere and with anyone. It is impossible to foresee the occurrence of such an event, it is only possible to minimize the damage.
The classification of accidents has different structures. Emergencies can be natural and man-made, can be domestic and industrial, single, if one person is injured, and group, if two or more people are injured. In addition, accidents also differ in the severity of the injuries received. Injuries can be mild, moderate, severe, or incompatible with life, that is, fatal.
Natural disasters in recent years will not surprise anyone. If it does not flood us, then we burn. The soil collapses, they descended from the mountains. Incredible things are happening - tornadoes in the central regions of Russia (such phenomena were not previously observed at these latitudes). Every season is abnormal: severe frosts in winter, heat in summer, icy rains. Even a meteorite fall is no longer a fantasy. You won’t list everything. With every natural disaster, a large number of people suffer, receiving injuries of varying severity.

The same can be said about technological disasters, the number of which is increasing every year, especially in our country. It is no secret that the main production facilities existing now have been operating since the Soviet times, and many of them did not even bother to change equipment. Owners, for the most part, care only about their own profits and hope for a chance. So we have the result in the form of an increase in hazardous industries. Most of the country sits like on a powder keg - you never know where it will explode.
Accidents can occur in the course of work. This is a separate category of emergency situations. In this case, the employer assumes the cost of restoring health, as he must organize the production process so that it is as safe as possible for employees, he also pays for health insurance contributions. At our enterprises, safety procedures are often neglected by both managers with responsibility and the workers themselves who carry out the production process.
Accidents cannot be predicted, it depends on the coincidence of many factors in one period of time. We relate to life's difficulties partly philosophically,
partly conniving, partly with a certain degree of indifference. Western society has long developed certain rules in the field of “lay straws”, and people there feel much calmer. Although constantly grumbling about the cost of insurance and the need to pay for them.
It is not customary for us to insure our life. But insurance against accidents and diseases will help provide financial support for the treatment and rehabilitation of a person after an insured event. So far, only compulsory motor third-party liability insurance is required in Russia (Compulsory Auto Civil Liability Insurance). This insurance should cover damage to vehicles and the cost of treating victims.
