Gastroduodenitis treatment

Treatment of gastroduodenitis should be performed over a long period. This is due to the need to normalize the diet. In addition, the treatment of gastroduodenitis is carried out along with the elimination of concomitant gastrointestinal pathologies.

Therapeutic measures begin with the appointment of a diet. It is necessary to observe it, otherwise chronic gastroduodenitis will develop, the treatment of which can become very difficult.

Patients are advised to include the following foods in their diet:

- vegetable soups with cereals;

- lean meat and ham, minced, steamed meat, meatballs without a crust, fish (boiled);

- vegetable and fruit juices, raw (or boiled) fruits and vegetables;

- non-acidic cottage cheese, milk or kefir (if the body tolerates), mild cheese, butter;

- buckwheat porridge, rice, semolina (it is recommended to grind the first two);

- soft-boiled eggs, scrambled eggs.

Vegetable dishes and cereals should be consumed to a greater extent. When vegetables or cereals are added to the soup, they should be ground. From drinks tea, cocoa on water, weak coffee are allowed. Some types of baked goods are allowed. These include crackers, stale white or gray bread. A small amount of sugar is allowed. Salt in the diet should be limited (twelve to fifteen grams per day is allowed). Eat at least five times a day in small portions. The following rules are mandatory:

- chew food thoroughly;

- Eat dishes should be warm.

Treatment of gastroduodenitis with medicines or herbs should be combined with the intake of vitamins. Of particular importance are vitamins B1, C, B2, PP.

If Helicobacter pylori infection is detected, gastroduodenitis will be treated with antibiotics. If increased acidity is detected, inhibitors (antisecretory agents) will be prescribed that suppress acid secretion for a long time. To get rid of heartburn, antacids are used (Almagel, Fosfalugel and others). It should be noted that self-medication at home using soda can lead to the opposite effect. Often, as a result of such exposure, acidity increases.

Treatment of chronic gastroduodenitis can last up to two years. While the acute form of the disease can be eliminated in a relatively short period of time.

Chronic gastroduodenitis is a cyclic pathology. To eliminate it, compliance with a certain scheme is required. Mandatory at the same time is a weekly bed rest, diet. After this, a therapeutic course is prescribed, which is fixed in the sanatorium.

In folk medicine, there are recipes that can alleviate the condition with gastroduodenitis.

  1. The collection of St. John's wort, chamomile, yarrow, celandine in a ratio of 2: 2: 2: 1 in the amount of one spoon (tablespoon) is filled with a glass of boiling water. The mixture is steamed in a water bath for fifteen minutes. A quarter cup of this infusion is taken daily before eating.
  2. Mix the same parts of calamus roots, orange peel, centaury grass, wormwood herb, chop. Boiling water (500 ml) pour the collection (two tablespoons). It can be poured into containers, and then poured into a thermos, you can immediately be poured into a thermos, insist until morning. Take a meal in a quarter cup three (and preferably four) times a day. The treatment course with infusion lasts a month and a half.
  3. Take half a glass of viburnum fruits and pour them with water (three liters). Put on fire, bring to a boil. Turn off, leave to insist under the lid for a day. After this time, add chopped mushroom (chaga), put the mixture in the refrigerator for two days. Aloe juice and honey are added to the strained mixture. An infusion is taken before meals three times a day for half a glass. All ingredients must be taken in equal parts.
