The divisions of various MMA promotions are literally crammed with fighters, each of which is able to become a real octagon star. One of such bright warriors is Vladimir Mineev. Some facts
Vladimir Mineev was born on February 16, 1990 in one of the extreme districts of the city of Sverdlovsk, and a little later he was in Saransk with his parents. But already from three years the future martial artist lived in Ulyanovsk. The fighter’s parents and older brother are doctors. As Vladimir himself recalls, in his childhood he was a fighter, and there was no day that he did not come into conflict with anyone.
Sport life
From childhood, Vladimir Mineev studied anatomy in detail, and his father wanted the young man to become a doctor. However, Vova was left without a dad early, because he suddenly died. Soon the guy got into sports. His first mentors were Golovikhin and Safonin.
The first very serious success came to the fighter in 2008, when he was able to become the champion of the Russian Federation in kickboxing, thanks to which he could get into the national team. Then there was success at the European Championship, held in Portugal under the patronage of the World Association of all kickboxing organizations. A year later, Mineev again went to the European championship, but was forced to be content only with a silver award. At the same time, the young man began performing in professionals, where he won three times in four fights, and thanks to one of the victories, he was able to become the world champion according to WAKO Pro. In that fight, he knocked out the representative of Belarus Zelinsky.
2011 also turned out to be quite successful for the athlete. He managed to become the bronze medalist of the European Championship, to win the title of champion of the continent of WBKF. And a year later, on a Turkish soil, Vladimir Mineev became the best in his weight as an amateur, and as a pro he won six fights and took the belt of the WKA world champion.
During 2013-2014, the fighter conquered and defended his belt of the world leader WKN.
Mixed Martial Arts Career
As a professional athlete in MMA, fighter Vladimir Mineev made his debut on September 30, 2014 in a fight against Fernando Almeida. The first pancake did not come out lumpy, and the Brazilian was defeated by technical knockout. After that, there were seven more successful fights for the Russian, in which he won victories ahead of schedule. However, on December 9, 2016, our hero suffered a first defeat in a duel against Michael Falkan. But already in April 2017, these two athletes met again, and the Russian was able to take revenge by knocking out the opponent.
Scandal
In the spring of 2017, Mineev held training camps in preparation for his professional duel and decided to participate in an amateur MMA tournament in Dagestan. His opponent was Aziz Dzhumaniyazov. After the end of the second five-minute, the Dagestan kicked Vladimir, to which he answered with a fist. As a result, several supporters of one or the other fighter immediately ran into the ring, and a mass brawl ensued. Subsequently, the conflict was settled, and the athletes left the tournament.
Life outside of sports
Vova’s personal life is quite closed to strangers, although he is a public person. It is only known for certain that Vladimir Mineev and his girlfriend named Karina are very fond of taking pictures together and sometimes uploading pictures to Instagram. In addition, the athlete has a daughter, whose mother, for unknown reasons, he does not live together.
Also, the fighter successfully graduated from two higher educational institutions, both of which are located in Moscow. In addition to sports, the guy is still doing business, loves to read and, if possible, engage in charity, develop sports in his native region.
