Furunculosis is an inflammatory suppurative disease caused by staphylococcus most often. It can appear on the body as one formation, or several in any part of the body. Its sizes range from small peas to large walnuts. Most often, boils occur in those places where the body is subjected to contamination or friction, for example, on the hands, neck, face, buttocks and lower back.
There is a more severe form of the disease — carbuncle. The causes of furunculosis and its counterpart are the same. Outwardly, they are also similar, but in the second case, the inflammation spreads much deeper - to the subcutaneous cells, which deadens.

The skin surrounding the neoplasm thickens, turns red and hurts. After some time, an abscess develops, it matures, and the liquid comes out. The remaining wound heals. The whole process may be accompanied by malaise and fever.
As mentioned above, furunculosis, the causes of which are attributed to skin damage by metal, clothing, dust or nails, should be treated immediately. After all, such wounds as open doors for a microbe to enter the body.

Perhaps the application of gypsum at the place of formation or dressing soaked in a solution of silver nitrate, it changes twice a day.
Continues after the boil opens , treatment. Vishnevsky ointment is used to apply a bandage to a drying focus every day. It heals the wound well and prevents the re-entry of microorganisms. It also promotes the healing of ichthyol. It is laid on the hearth in a thick layer, and on top they are covered with cotton wool. After the formation of cakes, the ointment is washed off with plain water. You need to do the procedure in the morning and in the evening. After the boil breaks, ichthyol is not used, so as not to close the outlet for pus.
Non-openings are removed surgically. The doctor cuts the focus and rinses the wound from pus.
Prevention
What is furunculosis, the reasons for which lie in damage to the skin and the introduction of a microbe, you can never know if you follow all the rules of hygiene. The cleaner the body, the lower the percentage of infection. Any scratch and small wound should be immediately treated with peroxide or brilliant green. In addition, strong immunity will not allow the microbe to settle in the body.
