In our modern everyday life, the newfangled word "portfolio" has firmly entered. But not everyone does not always know what it is and how to compile it correctly.
In essence, a portfolio is the result of a person’s achievements, both in a particular field and in life in general. Folders with the results of their achievements collect almost everything. The Internet is replete with all kinds of tips on how to make a portfolio.
Originally conceived as an assistant in assessing the quality and effectiveness of a person’s work, the portfolio now inspires horror among many teachers with considerable teaching experience, because often not all of them understand and accept the need for “collecting pieces of paper”. Moreover, now every student is trying to present himself. And parents are seriously concerned about how to make a student’s portfolio. Yes, schoolboy! Many children already in preschool age have colorful daddies with the results of their achievements in kindergarten.
Many experienced teachers do not know how to make a portfolio.
But they need it for re-certification, improvement of their qualifications, for documentary confirmation of the results of the work, moreover, both of the teachers themselves and their students.
How to make a
portfolio? Teachers collect in their colorful daddies all the reviews, letters of appreciation, reports on the success of students, reports on performances at methodological associations, as part of a psychological, medical and pedagogical consultation on the basis of the institution. The teacher’s self-presentation folder also includes the author’s methodological developments or games, models for interacting with society (veterans, parents, representatives of cultural institutions).

- Documentation. This section includes, in addition to documents on education, all copies of certificates of completion of retraining courses certified by the head, certificates of a participant or listener of conferences, protocols, etc.
- Methodological activities of the teacher. This, for example, includes: participation in the methodological activities of an educational institution and professional competitions, the availability of publications.
- Creative work. How a teacher implements a creative approach when working with children and their parents, colleagues.
- Achievements of pupils. The results of monitoring the assimilation of the curriculum, analysis of the incidence, participation and victory of children in various competitions.
