At that time, this designer perfectly demonstrated his skills in creating excellent sporting small arms. After spending a long twelve years, the Soviet Army was armed with an amazing self-loading equipment, which became a large-caliber sniper rifle Dragunov. At that time, there were no similar analogues in the world. Even the United States expressed an ardent desire to acquire a dangerous "toy" of Soviet manufacture.

The development of weapons skills does not stand still, and after a few years many countries of the world submit their inventions to the military. Soviet designers also do not sit idle, and one by one they publish their new modified "brainchildren". On the world market of weapons and ammunition today configures a huge number of diverse equipment. At the same time, the largest-caliber sniper rifle was produced in the United States in 1982. Its modifications are in service with many countries of the world. The name of this weapon is the Barrett M107 rifle. She is slightly inferior to the Russian counterpart - a modified ASVK Kord.
