Particular attention in the work of the center is paid to the most problematic regions - Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus.
The main principles of action are considered an objective approach to various situations and a multilateral analysis of the current situation. The position of the organization in relation to various socio-political issues is completely neutral. The Carnegie Center is completely lacking any specific political or social direction. This is directly related to the fact that he maintains complete neutrality and without prejudice considers the conflict situations that have arisen, doing everything possible to resolve them as soon as possible.
