In 2009, director Fyodor Bondarchuk released a fantastic dilogy based on the Strugatsky brothers' novel, Inhabited Island. Actor Vasily Stepanov, who at that time was still a student, received the main role in the project. Who else from the Russian movie stars took part in the filming?

“Inhabited Island”: Vasily Stepanov in the title role

Vasily Stepanov was born on January 14, 1986 in Moscow. His family had nothing to do with theater or cinema.

Before entering the theater university and filming in the film “Inhabited Island”, Vasily Stepanov was fond of sports. He studied at a technical school and received a diploma of a teacher of physical education, as well as the title of candidate for master of sports in hand-to-hand combat. This was not enough for the young man - he continued his studies at the law institute, which he never graduated from.

In 2009, Stepanov was accepted to the first year of acting at the Shchukin School of Acting. Just at that moment, there was a casting in Bondarchuk's project “Inhabited Island”. The actor attracted the attention of the director with his external data and was soon approved for the role of Maxim Kammerer - the protagonist of the alleged cinema dilogy.

Maxim is a typical positive character, endowed with an attractive romantic appearance and a whole set of positive qualities. He is an earthling from a distant future who, during his free surfing in space, discovered the new planet Saraksh, inhabited by intelligent creatures. Unable to remain indifferent to the events taking place in Saraksh, Maxim gets involved in a local political confrontation and emerges from it as a winner.

Peter Fedorov: “Inhabited Island” and the hero of the film Guy Gaal

The promising young performer Pyotr Fedorov in the fantastic film Bondarchuk got the role of Guy Gaal - a friend of Maxim Kammerer and his beloved brother. According to the plot, Guy and his sister Rada help Maxim to survive on the alien planet Saraksh.

The actor got on the set of the film “Inhabited Island”, being already an experienced performer: in the piggy bank of Fedorov, the role of Max in the comedy “Take Tarantina” was listed, Timur in the series “Count Krestovsky” and Oleg in the film by George Shengelia “Uncontrolled Skid”.

After collaborating with Fedor Bondarchuk, Peter managed to rise to a new career level: the young man was increasingly entrusted with leading roles and invited to large-scale projects, such as the drama PiraMMMida, the comedy Yolki-2, or the historical film Boris Godunov.

The last work of Peter Fedorov in the movie is the role of the editor of NOWADAYS magazine in the drama "You Enrage Me All", where Svetlana Khodchenkova, Yuri Kolokolnikov and Yuri Chursin became his partners on the set .

Another star of the Bondarchuk film is a graduate of the Shchukin school Julia Snigir. “Inhabited Island” for the girl literally opened the door to the world of big cinema, because before that the performer got only the supporting roles in such films as “Vaccine”, “Last Slaughter” and “Gloss”.

Julia Snigir is known to the public for her high-profile novels with Danila Kozlovsky and Evgeny Tsyganov. Her personal life is discussed much more actively than the bright roles in the movie. Of the entire filmography of the actress, one can distinguish only the action movie "Die Hard-5", in which the performer got the role of Irina, the biographical drama "Rasputin" and the historical series "The Great".

In the fall of 2017, the premiere of the film adaptation of “Going through the Flour” will take place, in which Snigir will play Ekaterina Bulavina-Smokovnikova-Roshchina.
