But she prompted many young viewers to reflect on the question of what rapunzel is.

Howard, who presented the world with another animated masterpiece Rapunzel: A Tangled Story, have long dreamed of realizing their potential. They wanted to be animators since they once visited Disney Studios at Disney World. Byron Howard worked for a long time as a tour guide, observing through the window for the painstaking labor of accomplished professionals. Finally, luck smiled on the talented debutants. Their creation is a whole gallery of charming heroes (people and animals), surrounded by fantastic scenery, spectacular special effects. The cartoon "Rapunzel" (2010) is a modern animation comedy for a wide audience of all ages, a landmark event for the art of computer animation and the Disney studio.
Unconditional success
Now, answering the question of what “Rapunzel” is, we can confidently say that this is a rare animation luck. Because if you recall, for example, the Disney Princess and the Frog, it should be emphasized that this time Disney definitely created a cartoon for the whole family. Rapunzel is the rarest harmonious combination of excellent musical compositions, tricks and breathtaking 3D effects for our chaotic modernity. Any adult viewer will easily feel like a child while watching, and the children will come in indescribable delight from Pascal and Maximus. Original idea and its transformation
If we turn to the original version, recorded by the Grimm brothers several centuries ago, you can only be surprised at the skill of animators who, from a dark history, in spirit more in line with Terry Gilliam’s fantasies, created an amazingly fun, harmless and vivid sight. According to the plot of Grimm, parents are forced to abandon the first-born for the opportunity to taste the same rapunzel. And the prince, who stumbled upon the golden-haired beauty imprisoned in the tower, was finally blinded, while the pregnant Rapunzel was expelled from the tower. But after a while the grown-up children of the lovers found their father, and the tears of his mother healed his blindness.
Naturally, the new version of N. Greno and B. Howard is much lighter and more fun. The noble robber Flynn Ryder, who was named after the actor Errol Flynn, who played a key role in the film “The Adventures of Robin Hood” (1938), acts as a prince in it.
Nobody voluntarily gave the baby to the witch. She abducted her to use the magical power of her hair and to remain forever young and attractive. Rapunzel became a royal daughter, in her infancy separated from her parents by an evil Gothel. The young lady is by no means defenseless, she can stand up for herself, actively using a frying pan as a weapon. Even the title poster of the project captures a photo of Rapunzel waving an object of household utensils. But especially in the project, minor heroes are pleased: the horse Maximus, who imagined himself to be a service dog, a bloodhound, and the chameleon Pascal devoted to the main character. The grandfather in Amur’s outfit and all the robbers who were regulars in the tavern came no less colorful. Indeed, the face is terrible, but kind inside.
Undoubted advantage
Among the indisputable advantages of the painting “Rapunzel: A Tangled Story”, one should highlight wonderful musical numbers. What is the song called "Mom", which is performed by the Gothel! For domestic adaptation of the compositions performed in the cartoon, you need to thank Maria Katz (Gotel) and Victoria Daineko (Rapunzel). Regarding 3D-effects and drawing heroes, we can say that the creative team approached this aspect extremely responsibly, carefully and professionally. Each character is endowed with unique details, in general, the picture captures the imagination.
The plot practically does not contain teachings and cutting eyes of instruction. All the vicissitudes are served simply, with unpretentious humor. At the same time, the creators even managed to clearly demonstrate the manifestations of the so-called Rapunzel syndrome, declared by the psychologist Donald Kasheld.
About the mass of quotes and references and not worth mentioning. It is better to plunge into childhood for an hour and a half and yourself to notice everything that the authors of the project hint at or just relax and enjoy watching.
