With the birth of the baby, various challenges arise for his parents, in particular the care for the health of a new family member. This concern includes regular examination of the child by a pediatrician, as well as passing tests, thanks to which you can judge the condition of the newly made man.
An excellent assistant in this case should be the urinal for newborns, with which you can collect material for delivery to the research laboratory. It is customary to take routine tests in clinics from the first month of life, while collecting urine in such cases becomes a real problem, which this simple device will help to solve. Especially successful will be the use of an urinal if it is necessary to undergo regular studies, and the option of waiting around the child for urination becomes a real problem.
Externally, the urinal for newborns is a container for collecting material in the form of a soft reservoir made of polyethylene, in the form of a bag with division. Its total volume is not more than one hundred milliliters, and the division scale allows you to measure 10 ml in order to assess the amount of urine collected for analysis. Of course, the size of this device for babies is tiny in order to facilitate the fence and securely attach it to the baby's body.
Mounting is carried out using adhesive tape, which is hypoallergenic and does not cause irritation. To be sure, the urinal for newborns should be purchased in pharmacies, since only this will guarantee the safety of the baby. Place the collection tool around the baby’s genitals. It should be noted that the fastening method, which, for example, has an
urinal for boys, will differ significantly from a similar container for girls. However, today you can find universal options that are perfect for a child, regardless of gender.
Do not hold the urinal for newborns on the child’s skin for more than an hour, because after this time the plastic container may lose its sterility, and the analyzes thus obtained may turn out to be unreliable. After an hour, thus, the urine collection bag should be replaced with a new one. After collecting the necessary fluid, carefully remove the plastic bag and pour the contents into a test tube or jar prepared in advance.
It is advisable to carry out normal hygiene procedures before installing the urinal in order to obtain the most reliable result during the study. Some nephrologists do not approve of the use of such a method of collecting urine, especially if you really need a clear control over changes in the composition of the fluid, for example, in case of disruption of the
genitourinary system. Accordingly, before passing the analysis, it is necessary to clarify in what way it is desirable to carry out the sampling of material for research.
