Army theme is one of the most popular in comedy cinema. The life of the army itself is rather absurd, individual hard-core soldiers are a real storehouse of primitive aphorisms. But in the project of the director Mike Ashmann called “Army Pie”, even the most daring attacks on the meaninglessness of the army’s way of life are aimed at an undemanding viewer, they seem toothless.
Liberties of transfer
In Russian box office, a Swiss-language comedy made in Switzerland is called “Army Pie”, although the literal translation sounds like “Watch out, it's dangerous! Plot
The film “Army Pie” has a fairly simple plot, similar to the soldiers ’diet. The protagonist is a young Italian guy Antonio Carrera (actor Michael Koch) forced by the mafiosi to lead the daughter of the ringleader Laura Moretti (Miriam Egerter) to the altar, but during the wedding ceremony the failed newlywed is taken into the Swiss army, as he has dual citizenship. The service life is ridiculous - only three months, nevertheless, the hero tries in every possible way to "slope", deliberately provoking anger from the commander of the military unit, Captain Franz Riker (Marco Rima). In addition, Antonio begins to aggressively show signs of attention to the beautiful recruit girl Michel Blunchi (Melanie Viniger), and she turns out to be the “captain’s daughter”. Predicting further developments is not particularly difficult.
