According to famous perfumers, "Ange ou Demon" is the most successful achievement of the house "Givenchy". Since the arrival of this fragrance on store shelves in 2006, demand for it has not been falling to this day. What makes this composition so popular? Stylish bottle in the form of a frozen tear? Star names of authors or just a title? One cannot but agree that the name of the spirits was chosen very well: each person combines heavenly, angelic qualities with demonic ones. In someone they are fighting, in someone they are peacefully coexisting.

Because of this duality of human nature, the perfumes of "Ange ou Demon" are suitable for everyone without exception. Perfume authors - J.P. Betuar and O. Cresp - and this time fully justified their reputation as stars. No wonder they worked in the homes of Moskino, Kenzo and Versace - they also did not disappoint Givenchy. Designer Serge Manso, who came up with the original form of the bottle, also contributed to the popularity of perfumes. But the main part of the public's attention was provided by the composition of the eldest daughter of Dominique de Velpen, a senior French official. However, Givenchy’s house did not immediately understand what luck had come to their hands in the face of a modest 20-year-old girl named Marie Steyss.
Having outlined the presentation of the new fragrance for 2006, the trading house began to look for a face for Ange ou Demon. At the casting, the mentioned Marie was selected, and only after she starred for the posters in the form of an angel and a demon, the employers recognized her real name. This little intrigue only gave spirits additional popularity. Along the wave of success, Givenchy released variations on the theme of Angel and Demon: Le Secret (2006), Tendre (2007) and Diamantissime (2009). In fact, in all cases, the main theme of the composition is preserved, except that "Tendre" is a light version.

Secrets of marketing and skillful promotion mean a lot, but even they would not make "Ange ou Demon" the No. 1 fragrance for many years, if not for the amazing smell of perfume. The composition with all confidence can be attributed to the class of floral, somewhat sweet aromas. But lovers of cold or woody notes should not immediately unconditionally reject spirits. In winter, they open in a special way. They are appropriate to apply before you go to a party or a romantic date. The base composition is vanilla, oak and rosewood. Against this background, ylang-ylang, lily and a delicate orchid sound deep with a heart note. And the composition is completed with “spices”: saffron and white thyme, softened by the aroma of Calabrian mandarin.
In 2010, the Givenchy house presented a gift to lovers of chypre aromas, and released Ange au Demon d'Hiver Santal. One name for this "tuning" of "Angel and Demon" suggests that the prevailing note here is sandalwood. Immediately after application to the skin, a viscous smell of incense with a touch of cherry is distinctly heard. Connoisseurs of light and dynamic odors, do not worry, wait 10 minutes. The fragrance will become fresher, “greener” and at the same time will remain as mysterious, bewitching, sweet as the devilish temptation. In the train, the smell of lilies is felt - a symbol of angelic innocence, by the way.

Now "Angel Demon", in addition to various variations of the main aroma, is available in various perfumes: perfumes , eau de toilette , eau de parfum and even shower gel, body lotion and deodorant spray. Actress Cameron Diaz and singer Madonna keep invariable loyalty to this fragrance, and their image does not at all mean that these divas use "heavy" and cloying perfumes. On the contrary, “Angel and Demon” is characterized by elegant, purely French chic and aristocracy, and at the same time, some unpredictability and playfulness.
