Libya’s mother, Emilia, once loved Vitoria’s son, Bernardo, but the countess was against these relations, therefore, in every possible way impeded their development. However, a certain period of time passes, and the countess, as if desperate to convince her son of his intentions regarding her chosen one, sends a letter to Emilia, in which she expresses confidence that she is ready to accept her into her family. Bernardo, having doubts about the veracity of his mother’s actions, sets off to search for Emilia and soon dies tragically.

Soon, Emilia became the richest woman, rightfully owning a large wine company in Rio de Janeiro, which her father had previously led. Vitoria, by that time, was in a difficult financial situation, which once leads Emilia to buy her a house, in order to somehow quench her thirst for revenge.
