Alexander Kaydanovsky is an atypical representative of Soviet cinema. His life was full of sharp turns, but at the same time resembled a swift flight, which was interrupted so unexpectedly that, it seemed, there was some mysticism in the death of this extraordinary person.
Childhood
Kaydanovsky Alexander Leonidovich was born in Rostov-on-Don, in an ordinary non-acting family. Although there was still some relation to culture and art in this house: mother worked as a director at the club. Theatrical abilities in the boy were not found. School friends subsequently received the desire to become an actor with great surprise.
Alexander had a desire for change since childhood. After the divorce of his parents, he lived with his mother. Then with grandma. After he moved to his father. But he didn’t get along with his stepmother either. Having spent enough time with relatives, he spent a year in a boarding school, and then left his native Rostov and went to seek happiness in Dnepropetrovsk.
He retained his love of freedom and independence for his whole life. The restless character did not allow him to stop. Alexander was constantly in search. Deciding to get a working profession, he went to enter the Dnepropetrovsk school. But after studying for only a year, he returned to his hometown and entered the Rostov Theater School.
Years of study
Alexander Kaydanovsky was not distinguished by a calm disposition, which often led to scandals with colleagues, relatives, and even with random people. The first serious conflict occurred in his student years. The quarrel with the teacher led to the fact that Alexander had to change the teacher. Already in those years, the future actor was known among acquaintances and friends as an extraordinary and somewhat selfish person. Egoism, however, is inherent in almost all actors. The originality of Alexander subsequently transformed into a bright rare talent.
After receiving his diploma, Alexander moved to Moscow and entered the Moscow Art Theater School. But here he did not stay long, leaving the walls of a prestigious educational institution on his own initiative. Education continued at the school. Shchukin, where he also studied without much enthusiasm, characteristic of any provincial youth. In Rostov, a girl was waiting for him, her future wife.
Personal life
The first wife is Irina Bychkova. The marriage lasted only four years. After the divorce, Alexander Kaydanovsky began a long painful affair with an exalted actress Valentina Malyavina. As expected, nothing serious came of this relationship.
The second wife was Evgenia Simonova. Third - Natalie Sudakova. The fourth marriage was especially fleeting. With Inna Pivars Kaydanovsky lived for only three weeks, although he prepared quite carefully for the wedding and even put on a tailcoat about this. Wedding photos turned out to be illuminated.
Such incidents occurred more than once, which, for example, happened after death, at the funeral, when it was not possible to take a single picture. This, perhaps, gave rise to rumors about the mystery of Kaydanovsky.
First roles
For the first time on the screen, Kaydanovsky appeared in an episodic role. In the film "The Mysterious Wall", Alexander Kaydanovsky played a researcher. A few months later he received a role in the film based on the novel of the same name by M. Dostoyevsky “The Player”. The following year, viewers saw him in the film adaptation of "Anna Karenina."
The first for Alexander Kaydanovsky was the theater. Vakhtangov. But the complex relationship in the troupe did not allow him to work in this theater for a long time. Kaydanovsky was fired from the theater, after which his family was in an almost distressed situation.
In subsequent years, Alexander Kaydanovsky simultaneously played in three Moscow theaters. Then he completely switched to cinema.
Glory
Many roles were played by Alexander Kaydanovsky. The filmography of this actor covers 63 paintings. But he became famous after the role of Lieutenant Lemke.
The role in the film by Nikita Mikhalkov influenced his life. Fame and alcohol caused many scandalous situations, one of which almost brought to the dock. It must be said, nevertheless, that with a quick-tempered character and an inability to compromise, Alexander Kaydanovsky was a man of fine mental organization. Somewhere a dreamer and a dreamer, he looked at life through the prism of the ideas of Russian classics. Even in his poorly furnished apartment, he saw not poverty, but the original style of Dostoevsky.
The peak of creativity was the role in the film A. Tarkovsky "Stalker".
In the nineties, Alexander Kaydanovsky starred a little. The reason was not the lack of interest in directors, but rather the reluctance of the actor himself to star in a bad movie.
Kaydanovsky Alexander Leonidovich played his last role in the Spanish film "Breath of an Angel", receiving a huge fee. He died, however, in a communal apartment. The interior of his last refuge was terrifying: angels on the walls and a black ceiling. One of the colleagues joked: "Here you will die."
And so it happened. At forty-nine, actor Alexander Kaydanovsky passed away. The cause of death is an extensive heart attack. This heart attack was not the first, but among friends and colleagues there were those who saw a mystical connotation in the untimely death.
