Father is categorically against it. He does not believe in the sincerity of the potential son-in-law, nor in the prospects of moving to the capital. Victor has considerable experience, innate insight. But he is too direct and categorical in his narrowing. And therefore he does not manage to dissuade his daughter from a frivolous act.

Zhenya is leaving. And soon she remains alone in a strange big city, abandoned by her lover. And, of course, expecting a baby. To appear in his native village, with his father, with a “belly” and in the status of a loner, she is not able to. The girl sees only one way out of this situation - abortion. And here her life is changing again. She gets an appointment with a successful and popular gynecologist Irina. She is trying to keep the young provincial from the fateful step that she once took. Left alone at the time, the young Irina also had an abortion, and therefore now is childless. To save a girl from repeating her destiny and raise a baby - in this she sees a ray of light in her lonely life, and a way out for Zhenya, who is depressed.

Meanwhile, fathers in the provinces hear rumors about the pregnancy of their only and beloved daughter and that she intends to “sell the child to a doctor”.
