Alexander Mikhailovich Loktev is a Russian hockey player, a native of Belgorod, who began his career in the Sunday “Chemist”. The season 2018-2019 will be the first in the Continental Hockey League for the young striker .
Biography
Alexander Loktev was born on November 13, 1996 in Belgorod. However, at official tournaments, he first played for Chemist (Voskresensk). It was the Moscow Open Championship among junior children. The team from Voskresensk performed in the first group and competed with the most powerful rivals from the Russian capital. Alexander's height at that time was 160 centimeters, and the weight was equal to 52 kilograms.
The young striker in the first major tournament played eight matches and scored 4 points with a 12-minute penalty. It is worth noting that Alexander Loktev was never particularly delicate, spending quite a lot of time on the bench for “naughty guys” every season. For example, in the 2014-2015 season, a hockey player earned ninety-six penalty minutes in sixty games.
Clubs
The next two seasons, from 2010 to 2012, Loktev played for the Moscow hockey clubs “Rus” and “Spartak”. After that, the attacker decided to return to his native land and for a long time settled in the HC "Belgorod" (MHL-B).
MHL-B
The striker finished his first season for his hometown club with a utility score of minus eight and eighteen points scored (nine goals and the same number of assists). In the photo, Alexander Loktev already did not look the same as 2-3 years ago: the hockey player grew noticeably and gained muscle mass. These anthropometric indicators became equal to 182 centimeters and 89 kilograms, respectively.
Loktev played in HC Belgorod until 2015. The most successful for the striker was the final season of 2014-2015, in which Alexander managed to score forty-two goals and make thirty-three assists. Immediately after this success in the MHL-B, the forward was invited by the team of the Siberian Snipers Youth Hockey League. In one of his interviews, the hockey player Alexander Loktev said that he was not going to transfer from one MHL-B team to another, as he was striving exclusively upwards. One can make a very obvious conclusion: the athlete achieves his goals, albeit slowly, step by step, but he does what he must.
MHL
In "Siberian Snipers" Alexander managed to show himself from the best side. In his final season in the Youth Hockey League, he was even the captain of a team from Novosibirsk. That year, the forward gave thirty-two assists and scored thirty goals, adding two goals and four assistant points to the playoffs. This result was the best for Loktev for his entire career in the MHL.
Unfortunately, due to age (hockey players no older than twenty-one years old play in the MHL), Alexander Loktev was unable to continue his victorious gait among the youth. His next stop was the hockey club of the Higher Hockey League "Ermak" (Angarsk city).
VHL
However, in Angarsk, Loktev was delayed for a short time. Forward, whose growth has already reached 188 centimeters, and weight - 89 kilograms, took Novokuznetsk “Metallurg”. “Forge” in the Premier League enjoys much greater authority than “Ermak”, which is quite logical, since earlier this team played in the Continental Hockey League. Accordingly, here Alexander Loktev managed to make a small, but still a step forward. In the regular season, Alexander played 47 games for Metallurg and scored 11 points (six goals and five assists), and then added another 12 games in the playoffs and 5 points for performance (two goals and three assists) to this indicator. Not to say that the numbers are particularly impressive, but for such a young striker, these are very, very good indicators. In the same way, representatives of the breeding service of the club of the Continental Hockey League Siberia thought for whom Loktev is not a stranger.
KHL
The next stop on the path of a young, promising hockey player will again be Novosibirsk, where Alexander Loktev will begin the 2018-2019 season. Last year, the Siberians could not get into the playoffs of the Continental Hockey League, but the club management always poses the highest tasks for the team. Who knows, maybe it’s the young hockey players like Alexander who can help the club achieve their goals.
