Judd Apatow, a well-known director, screenwriter and producer hailing from the United States, was born on December 6, 1967 in New York. His parents are Jewish, his father worked in the field of construction, and his mother in a record company created by Judd's grandfather.

From childhood, Judd loved films in the comedy genre, and his main idol was actor Steve Martin. The boy had an amazing sense of humor and due to this, he could easily establish contact with any person.

When Judd Apatow was 12 years old, his parents decided to break up. The boy lived with his father almost all the time, visiting his mother only on weekends. Future director Judd Apatow began to go to comedy clubs, and when he moved to high school, he was entrusted with conducting an entertaining program on school radio.

Mom helped her son establish contacts in the local humorous community. Judd interviewed such famous comedians of the time as Steve Allen, John Candy and Howard Stern, and some starters. At the age of 17, Apatow began to act as a stand-up comedian and actively got acquainted with other comedians.

After leaving school, Judd went to Los Angeles, where he entered the university for a scriptwriter course. True, he did not finish his studies there, leaving his studies two years later in order to devote all his time and energy to career development.

Judge then got a job on HBO as an entertainment show writer. A little later he acted as a director and very successfully, having received 6 Emmy awards.
