For many years, the promising and young hockey player Andrei Loktionov worked abroad in the United States. Recently, he played for the Carolina Hurricanes club. But after a serious injury and an operation, the club management broke the contract with the hockey player. Yaroslavl Lokomotiv became the next step for the athlete on the path of career growth.
How it all began
Andrey Vyacheslavovich Loktionov is from Voskresensk. Born in 1990, May 30. In the family of the future hockey player, his father was fond of this sport, and he brought the four-year-old boy to Khimik, to the hockey school. In 1980–90 the last century, a hobby craze was the norm. Everyone played it, both children and adults, this sport was so popular. A skating rink was pouring in every school yard, on which future hockey stars chased with a stick.
Now children are rollerblading, and in the distant 90s, kids were the limit of dreams for skates. Winter without skates is like summer without a ball. Boys with hockey sticks and ice skating drove hockey on ice for hours. Andrei was only two years old when my grandmother bought skates for her beloved grandson. They were two-bladed, and tied them to the shoes with laces. And the future champion rode in the yard with the neighboring guys. Then the grandmother did not suspect that she had opened the door to the grand sport to her grandson. Hobby for children turned into a serious game.
At 4, his father brought the boy to the Khimik hockey school, and at 6 he was enrolled in the team. In 10 years he will be a participant in his first championship. The hockey player got to Spartak when he was 12 years old. The Moscow team brought up an excellent hockey player and a worthy shift. Since 2006, Andrey Loktionov has been considered a player of the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv for two years. Spent 6 matches, became a member of the Russian junior team. However, the farm club was the permanent residence of the hockey player.
Abroad
At 18, Andrei Loktionov went to live and work in the USA. For four years he traveled all over America, living in rented apartments. Despite the difficulties, he always worked hard, honing the skills of the hockey player. The athlete constantly trained, increasing his professionalism. And all this is not in vain, who has a goal, it will be achieved. And Loktionov always knows what he wants. He makes every effort and opportunity to achieve his goal.
Fateful for Andrew was 2008. He was invited to play at the Los Angeles Kings. In North America, he took part in junior and youth games, in farm clubs. In 2009, he was awarded the JJ Ross Robertson Memorial Cup and Cup.
The victorious 2012 was a triumph for Andrey. As part of the Los Angeles Kings team, he won the Stanley Cup. Engraved on the hockey trophy name: Andrey Loktionov. The hockey player put a lot of effort into acquiring this cup.
Again native “Locomotive”
In 2014, the world hockey championship for the Russian national team became stellar. The whole country was rejoicing, the team won the well-deserved gold. For a good game, young forward Andrei Vyacheslavovich Loktionov was awarded the Order of Honor by President V. Putin himself.
The joy of victory was overshadowed by serious injury. The hockey player with his agent immediately informed the manager of the Carolina about the injury and the upcoming operation. Management decided not to renew the contract. After a complicated operation and long-term treatment, the hockey player was invited to play for Lokomotiv.

What is Andrei Loktionov (hockey player) in everyday life? The personal life of an athlete is open to all. He does not make himself an inaccessible star. Always easy to communicate, accessible to journalists. He talks about himself as a simple person who tends to make mistakes, rejoice, and be upset.
Currently, Andrey Loktionov lives and trains in Yaroslavl. The Lokomotiv team cordially welcomed their ward. Despite a long stay abroad, the adaptation of the young man was painless. And, of course, the team and the coaching staff helped Andrey quickly and easily get used to the new training conditions.
From Yaroslavl to Voskresensk just a few hours drive. And these are meetings with family and friends, a familiar mentality, good friends. Finally, he spends holidays and weekends with people close to him. All this was so lacking away from his home when meetings were rare and short.
A little information for the girls: hockey player's height is 180 cm, weight 87, broad-shouldered and dark-haired. Andrei is not married, although he repeatedly mentioned his girlfriend.
