With the rape of the USSR, unprecedented criminal activity arose in our country. This was due to the collapse of the current system not only of
law enforcement agencies, but also of the state machinery as a whole. Organized criminal groups became very widespread at this time. What are organized crime groups and how law enforcement agencies are fighting with them - we will talk about this in the article.
The concept
In science and practice, there was no precise definition of organized criminal groups - organized crime groups. It is clear that such organizations are created specifically for committing crimes, have a governance structure and forms of financing. Often, they are in some way connected with the state and its bodies (corruption component). The main goal of such entities is the shadow economy, or rather, control over a certain part of it.
ExamplesDozens, and sometimes hundreds of organized crime groups, have acted and continue to operate in Russia. For example, there was the Orekhovskaya organized crime group, which was created back in the Soviet period. The most powerful organization in Moscow, the criminal focus of which was characterized by the fact that they fought with the Caucasian criminal communities. These were young athletic people who massively committed criminal acts. It should be said that only by 2011 it was possible to completely eliminate the activities of the performers of this group. In addition, our country knows the Chelyabinsk organized crime groups, some of them continue to operate to this day. Their main task was the laundering of budget funds, as a result, the treasury lost billions of rubles. Today it has been possible to at least reduce the scope of activities. The complexity of the investigation process was that all the crimes went to high officials who, for a long time, covered lawlessness with their status. The main problem is that the investigating authorities were no exception. But the new leadership of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs managed to resolve the situation.

Methods of struggleWhat is an organized crime group - figured out. But how to deal with this phenomenon? Here, not the activities of specific bodies or investigators come to the fore, but the system as a whole. Only within the framework of a competent anti-corruption policy and measures to combat crime can this be combated. After all, what is organized crime groups? These are not only persons who directly commit crimes, this is the top of the system, and people in government offices, and other interested persons. It is necessary to strive for their separation. When this process is launched, conflict situations begin to appear in their ranks - it is easier to calculate specific persons involved. In addition, the shadow economy is affecting - what is it? Organized crime groups take advantage of its financial capabilities. This is the money that does not go to the budget, which the state does not dispose of. The important thing here is the desire to legalize this sphere, or at least part of it. In this case, the groups lose their sources of financing, and without this, no criminal organization will last long. But the methods of bandits are constantly being improved, so the fight organs should not lag behind, but decide how to counteract all new and new methods.
