In addition, here in the very first weekend the picture broke all records, squeezing out the Jurassic World, which says a lot. The reason for this success is that Abrams, the creator of the new picture, very carefully approached the original trilogy, of which he has long been a fan. He very carefully transferred the galactic world, which was so beloved to his fans, into modern computer design.
In Russia
The last part of the Star Wars movie - episode 7, whose box office in our country turned out to be much more modest - despite being very popular all over the world, did not receive the prestigious Academy Award. Perhaps because it was perceived ambiguously. There are many controversial moments in it, although most viewers and fans of the picture received it with enthusiasm. But the revenues from the new episode in Russia, in comparison with other countries, were not so great. The reason, most likely, should be sought in the fact that domestic viewers, as already mentioned, positively accept the prequels of the early 2000s. At least, such a point of view exists, and, probably, will be able to explain the fact that our picture raised twenty-five million dollars.

After the release of the teaser, the hype before the premiere seemed to culminate. However, interest was fueled by the news of the participation in the filming of everyone who loved H. Ford as the cult character of Han Solo. It is not surprising, therefore, that long before the release of the new episode, various American companies predicted enormous fees for the film and an unprecedented success with the audience and fans.

Of course, such a success pushed the creators to continue, which, however, was planned earlier. The expectations for the next episode are very high, as evidenced by the impressive box office of the last film. Nevertheless, critical opinions are expressed that the picture is nothing new, and that, in fact, it repeated the “New Hope”. In fact, there are a lot of parallels in the new picture, and the plot decisions are similar. Nevertheless, there is every reason to hope that the continuation of the popular film saga will expand the universe of galactic wars and delight fans with new story twists.
