Corrections in the workbook

When filling out a work book, it is necessary to distinguish between the concepts of change and correction. The former indicate the addition of correct entries; the latter are corrections of erroneously made ones.

Corrections in the workbook: cover page

When a work book is completed for the first time, it is required that the first (cover) page contains the correct information about the last name, first name, patronymic, and date of birth of the person entering the work. Since the document does not include a photograph, this information will be of particular importance. This information determines to whom the document belongs.

The principles by which corrections are made in the work book are not provided anywhere. However, the documentation rules say that erroneous records cannot be corrected. Thus, an incorrect entry makes the document invalid, and the work book must be replaced. An exception to the rule is the case when an employee has changed passport data. In a similar situation, new data is written over the old data and a link is indicated, which is evidence of this fact.

Filling out the work book, it puts the stamp of the enterprise. Often there are disagreements related to the entries in the chapter “Information about the work”. Often, novice personnel workers make mistakes in this section when filling out a work book. Some indicate that the employee has not worked anywhere before and has no work experience. This is not entirely correct. First, make a record that indicates a job application. It turns out that many do not know that the information in the work book must comply with the orders of the head. The document must be made records of employment, the name of the unit, profession and position.

Information about the duration of the test or contract, the mode of work, the conditions of remuneration, comments, the nature of the work and other conditions are not recorded in the work book. The exception is making entries related to the transfer to another position, or if the employee is transferred to another employer. In this case, the words about employment are supplemented with the entry “in the order of translation”.

Corrections in the workbook: sample registration of workers combining

Part-time information is recorded in the workbook at the place of primary work only at the request of the employee. But sometimes it happens that a person has already completed part-time work , but wants the data on this to be indicated in the work book. In such a situation, part-time information is indicated after information on the main job - even if this record has an earlier date.

The document does not record temporary transfers. Only if the temporary transfer has turned into a permanent job, this fact is recorded in the work book. In this case, the dates of both permanent and temporary transfers should be indicated.

Corrections in the workbook: examples regarding the content

If the entry in the work book is incorrect, it must be rewritten and it is imperative to explain why corrections are made. There should not be any corrections, strikethroughs and phrases such as “corrected faith”.

If the date is incorrect when applying for a job , the following corrections are made in the workbook: a link to the number of the invalid record is created, and the correct date is indicated next to it.

If the entry is omitted, corrections in the work book are made on a new line, indicating the missing information, and assured by the signature of the official and the seal.

When destroying work books, an act should be drawn up testifying to this action.
