According to the plot

According to the authors' idea, the narrative of the picture begins with the fact that two lovers of young people Roma (Yegor Kocheshkov) and his bride Natasha (Yulia Alexandrova) decide to tie the knot. Lovers see their wedding beautiful and sophisticated on the seashore. Natalia's stepfather (actor Jan Tsapnik), an official in the local administration, does not understand what all this tinsel is for, he wants a traditional walk in a restaurant. The conflict of interest leads to the fact that young people decide to get married secretly, but it wasn’t there, rumors in a small town spread instantly, and guests, having succumbed fairly, migrate from the restaurant to the seashore and back. Here, the viewer has the opportunity to contemplate the village of Divnomorsk, located 12 km from Gelendzhik. It is also called "fake Gelendzhik." In the movie, the famous showman Sergei Svetlakov played the role of himself, invited to the artist’s wedding, it’s easier - the host. Under the inexorable pressure of the surrounding guests, he quickly gets to the condition (intoxication) and has fun on equal terms with the most active relatives of the young. Already from the description of the plot it becomes clear that the answer to the exciting question “Where was Gorko filmed?” - Gelendzhik and Divnomorsk.

Subspecies moncumeri

They managed to make a comedy in a record short time - for some 23 shifts. Initially, the creators planned to make a film through the eyes of a wedding operator, a kind of domestic monkumeri. As a result, most of the timing is actually shot with the effect of a shivering camera. The scriptwriters did not have to puzzle over inventing curious situations, the film uses real stories about which YouTube videos tell the whole world. The film "Gorky 1", whose actors starred in almost all of the cast and in the second part, is as realistic and close to the present.

Continuous Improvisation

By the way, it is not without reason that the viewer is worried about the question “Where was Gorko filmed?”, Because it was originally planned to conduct the filming process in Moscow, only later it was decided that the action should be deployed in one of the southern towns. Therefore, the bridal salon and the pawnshop from the film are not just located in Gelendzhik - they are real and are functioning to this day. Almost the entire film was shot on continuous improvisations, sometimes meaningless and merciless. However, the film "Bitter!" only at the beginning it can be called a comedy, in fact the picture is much deeper, it is quite problematic to determine the genre affiliation. This is a clash of internal and external traditions and borrowed glamor abroad, about the value of the family and the conflict of generations. It’s not so important where they shot “Gorky!”, What’s happened is important.

Divnomorsk

On the wave of success

After the triumph of the first part, shot in the style of a "wedding video", inspired by success, filmmakers, led by director Zhora Kryzhovnikov, shot a sequel - the film "Gorky 2". Most of the filming process took place again in Gelendzhik. In this part, the viewer has the opportunity to admire not only the sea surface and coast, but also the mountains. The cast, as noted, has not changed much. According to the development of the plot, the creators needed to shoot several grand feasts, which were held in 6 different cities of the Russian Federation. Over 4,500 people took part in the meal, this result was noted in the Russian Book of Records.

The plot of the sequel

The film "Gorky 2" has a no less fascinating and quite realistic plot. Vitka Karavai (character of Alexander Robak) comes to meet his friend and colleague - the stepfather of the bride from the first part (actor Jan Tsapnik). Friends decide to celebrate this event with a real landing scale, having a feast literally under the clouds, on top of the mountain. It was decided to shoot the action on Mount Shahan (700 m). The consequences of this decision are quite difficult to predict, you just need to watch and enjoy the character and color of the characters in the film.
