Plot
Tatyana Lavrova, a student at a teacher training college, was found dead in the trunk of a flooded car. Who could have committed this monstrous crime, who could have killed an eighteen-year-old girl, and, most importantly, for what? Investigators of Alexander Moskvin and Andrei Chistyakov undertake the investigation of the murder. Everyone is under suspicion: relatives, classmates, teachers, the guy Tanya, whose name no one knows. The investigation suspects everyone, but periodically ends up in a dead end and starts anew.
The plot of the series “Crime” seems to be divided into three main lines: the investigation of the murder, the political struggle that broke out between the mayoral candidates, and the personal lives of the heroes. All these lines are intertwined.

Daria Moroz in the series "Crime" happened to play the investigator Alexander Moskvin. Sasha is going to get married and move to Moscow. On her last working day, the girl’s plans change - in the lake they find a car with a dead girl in the trunk. The boss orders Sasha to investigate this murder.
Sasha wants to find out who killed the young girl, but the upcoming move and wedding haunt her.
Lyudmila Artemyeva, known mainly for comedy roles, appears in the film in a completely new role - she got the psychologically complex role of the mother of the murdered girl. Anna Lavrova, that is the name of the woman, lost her daughter. Anna almost goes crazy with grief, she rushes about in conjecture, finds no place for herself. Lyudmila Artemyeva masterly copes with this role.
The role of a heartbroken father was played in the series Crime by Andrei Smolyakov. Having learned that the girl has disappeared, the father tries to find her and, by chance, finds himself at the place of extraction of the car with the body of the daughter from the water. Grief left a mark on his father's face, as if he had aged ten years in a couple of minutes. Andrei Smolyakov admits that this role was not easy for him, because it is very complex and psychologically difficult.
The role of a self-confident entrepreneur, preparing for the mayoral election, was played by Andrei Chernyshov. Initially, it is not clear how the tragedy in the Lavrov family and businessman Oleg Samoilov are related, but soon the storyline turns in such a way that Oleg becomes one of the main suspects in the murder case.
Other equally famous actors had a chance to play secondary roles: Alyona Khmelnitskaya, Igor Kostolevsky, Andrei Finyagin, Oleg Vasilkov and many others.

Filming of "Crime" took place mostly in Kaliningrad and only partially in Moscow and the Moscow region. Like any other project of the detective genre, the series "Crime" of 2017 could not remain without attention and, of course, reviews. But opinions, as always, were divided into exactly the opposite. Some viewers were delighted with the series, were shocked by the chic shootings, amazing acting and magnificent cast, a sense of tension throughout all 20 episodes. Others, on the contrary, believe that the Crime series, released in 2017, is a rather mediocre copy of the Danish series. That the attempt to adapt the original film to Russian reality failed, the actors did not cope with their work. But there is a third point of view, which is shared by those who liked the series as a whole, but the ending seemed to them blurry, unsuccessful.

About the original series
As mentioned above, the series Crime is a copy of the Scandinavian series Forbrydelsen (production Denmark, Norway, Sweden). The original film was not only nominated for the prestigious Emmy Award in Cinema, but also received the BAFTA Award. The format of the series: one season - one crime, one series - 24 hours from the life of investigators. In total, the Scandinavians filmed three seasons, the main role in each of them was played by Sophie Grobel.
The series was so successful that even the Americans shot a remake on it called The Killing. The Americans shot 44 episodes, which amounted to four seasons. The series was also successful and was nominated for several awards at once.
Will there be a continuation
