This beautiful blonde woman in her life was an actress, professional theater and music manager. It was thanks to her that the audience could enjoy the stories that were unfolding on stage in the musicals about the cathedral, Romeo and Juliet, Metro. And yet, despite so much work put into the cultural heritage of Russia, most people know about it precisely as the producer of a young actor and singer Alexei Vorobyov. Probably, many have already guessed who will be discussed in this article. So, we get to know each other: Katerina von Gechmen-Waldeck is not only a beauty, but also a smart girl, fluent in five languages.
Children's years of the future baroness
On the ninth day of October 1964, a girl was born in an intelligent Moscow family, who was named Katerina. Her great-grandfather was the founder of the Tiflis Conservatory, her grandfather played the cello professionally, and her father was the head of the press service of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
It cannot be said that Katerina von Gechmen-Waldeck was Cinderella before she married with Austrian baron Ernst Gechmen-Waldeck. The parents of the little girl were a former Soviet elite. Katerina grew up abroad. A little later, she arrived in Moscow, where she graduated from GITIS and starred in films. But more on that later.
At first she studied in the Czech Republic: at that time her mother and father worked in the international journal Problems of Peace and Socialism. The future baroness had international communication, which gave an impetus to her study of five foreign languages: Polish, Czech, English, German and French, in which she could speak fluently.
In spite of everything
When Katyusha Urmancheeva, in the future Katerina von Gechmen-Waldeck, whose biography is of interest to many ordinary people, arrived in the capital, Moscow, she refused the offer to join the Komsomol. She moved from one school to another, having done this eight times. To prove to others that she was a completely independent person, she came to work at the Bolshoi Theater, it was there that her grandfather soloed in the orchestra.

Later, she received a diploma from the acting faculty of GITIS, sharing some classrooms with Dmitry Pevtsov and Alexei Serebryakov. Years later, in an interview, she told reporters about her beliefs that had helped her so much in her youth. Katerina is still convinced that in life one should give preference to the path to which the soul lies. After all, only by realizing oneโs mission one can achieve quite real heights. But what this purpose is, everyone is obliged to figure out for himself independently, listening to his intuition and trying not to pay attention to society and even family.
The road in creativity
After graduating, Katerina von Gechman-Waldeck starred in many films, however, she had small episodic roles. She has about fifteen film works: "Private Detective, or Operation" Cooperation "," White Bone "," Artist from Gribov "," The Ghost Prince "... But the baroness from the very beginning did not take her profession too seriously. She understood that the years of her studies and the beginning of work passed in difficult times for the country. Then there was no longer Soviet cinema as such, but Russian has not yet begun. But the young actress did not have serious acting ambitions. What she began to do a little later was more important for her, more globally. She considers this a creative process, and she is very interested in working in Russia.
Musical Mom
Katerina von Gechmen-Waldeck, whose photo can often be seen on the pages of glossy publications, is rightfully considered the founder of the musical genre in Russia. It was thanks to her that the country saw the first musicals - Romeo and Juliet, Metro and Notre Dame de Paris. The Baroness took part directly in the production of the musical Metro, from writing texts to a casting of almost 4,000 applicants. Many businessmen at that time invested in some musicals, but were defeated. Unlike the rest, Katerina von Gechmen-Waldeck was successful. She always set the bar high, despite the fact that Russia did not yet have a musical school and the traditions of this art form. The Baroness has always controlled all stages of the creation of the play. She is sure that it is not necessary to go in cycles in commercial questions. We need to focus on creativity, not counting future profits. Then any success can turn into money. For the license for a musical about the cathedral, she paid approximately 1.5 million euros. But then this musical was watched by more than 500 thousand spectators, and the famous trio Belle became a hit of 2002, it sounded from every window. By the way, all the artists performed all the arias live, the soundtrack was not used in principle. The musical was nominated for the State Prize of Russia.

About Alexei Vorobyov, whom she produced for several years, she always remembers with special warmth, calling him a real nugget. It was created to be an artist, but not for fame. Just the meaning of his life in the exchange of energy with the audience. She is delighted that now, having reached a certain level and making decent money, Vorobyov feeds his entire family (five people).
The love of her life
Katerina von Gechmen-Waldeck, whose birth date is October 9th, says that this is a creative person, she never thought about connecting her life with any prince. But once she was invited to a weekend in one mansion. There was a dinner party for a small circle of people. Her place was next to the Austrian baron Ernst Gechmen-Waldeck. It was love at first sight.
Within a few weeks, he offered the Russian beauty a hand and a heart. But Katerina Urmancheeva agreed to this marriage only a year later, in 1993. So she became a baroness. Ernst and Katerina bring up two children from the last marriage of the Baron (his first wife died). Tatyana and Vincent became relatives for Katerina. Spouses do not have common children.
