If in the 20th century the most extraordinary horror films were considered zombie projects by Lucio Fulci and paintings like “The Cannibal's Hell”, then the 21st century offers the viewer something incredible - a series of horror films by the Dutch director and screenwriter Tom Six under the intriguing title “The Human Centipede”, in which they were involved actors unfamiliar to the world cinema community. “Human Centipede 3” was released in 2015, confirming the success of the creator’s adventurous idea.
First episode
The first film of 2009 by the narrative structure could be considered an almost traditional "genre" horror about the unfortunate victims of a crazy maniac, if not for the way the crazy doctor sewed his victims into one organism, tightly combining their anuses and faces. Not only the viewers were not ready for this, but the entire crew (except Six) and the actors involved in the work on the movie. Human Centipede 3, however, like the second part, surpassed the first film in all meanings and senses.
Sequel
The sequel, which was released two years later, showed the audience even more unhealthy extreme sports, more unjustified violence and unfortunate victims. At the same time, Tom Sixx brings to the second part an “element of the game”: the horror is filmed with direct postmodern references to the first part, with a clear claim to the author’s movie, it has less dialogue, and more static. Actors involved in the first part practically did not migrate to the sequel.
“Human Centipede 3” was announced almost immediately after the release of the second episode, but Six removed it only recently, after almost 5 years, and the director again dramatically changed the course of the narration.
The plot of the trikvel
Prison boss Bill Boss (actor Dieter Laser) is unable to clean up the institution entrusted to him by the state. Despite the fact that the Boss is quite cruel to prisoners, the slightest signs of disobedience are severely punished, prisoners respond to every violence even more. Prison rates are extremely depressing. This state of affairs clearly does not satisfy the governor of the state (performed by Eric Roberts), so he presents Bill with a choice: either he will radically change the state of affairs, or he will be immediately dismissed from his post. Faced with such a predicament, the prison governor agrees to try out the idea that arose in the head of his assistant accountant, Dwight (Lawrence R. Harvey), after watching the two parts of Millipedes. They decide to conduct an experiment and sew all those serving a conclusion in one continuous chain. Such, at least, a strange plot has the film "Human Centipede 3". Lawrence Harvey, along with Dieter Laser, starred in horror.

Postmodernism squared
The postmodernism of the second episode in the third part was squared. Not only do the main characters watch the first two films, but Tom Six plays himself (by the way, very good), in addition, the two main roles are embodied on the screen by the main actors of the previous parts Dieter Laser with Lawrence Harvey. In addition, the picture is a cruel and evil satire, in which literally everyone gets it: politicians, those in power, doctors, ordinary people who prefer to turn a blind eye to any evil, the main thing is that it is not happening to them and not before their eyes. According to some world critics (the actors who starred in the film also confirmed this), “The Human Centipede 3” is a rather stupid movie production, the shocking of which is necessary not only for the interest of the public.
Acting Ensemble
Speaking about the advantages of the trikvel, one cannot fail to note the participation of actor Clayton Rohner in the project. His impressive filmography, consisting mainly of horror films ("The Night Curse", "Fighter", "Murderous Cold", "Crazy"), allowed the actor to feel at ease during the filming of even the most cruel scenes. Although the audience Clayton Rohner is better known as a performer of episodic roles in the most popular TV series of the 90s: "The X-Files", "Beverly Hills", "Ambulance".

However, the star of Dieter Laser failed to overshadow any of the actors in the ensemble of the picture. He was very good both in the first episode and in the trickle. His character resembles a man who is presumptuous from unlimited power, talking in hysterical howls or screaming. The hero has neither principles nor morality; he is eaten from within by a thirst for domination over all those around him. At the same time, at the slightest danger, Bill Boss is likened to a frightened jackal. This unbearable and extremely unpleasant character was played fantastically by the Laser. While watching, every watcher literally half an hour after the start of the film will want to strangle the bastard with his own hand, or turn off the film. And here it is necessary to realize that it was precisely such an effect that Tom Six was counting on.
