“How to Succeed in Business” is a film about Jimmy Dvorsky, a car thief. He is serving another term in prison. He managed to get a ticket to the final part of the world series of games in which his favorite Chicago Cubs baseball team takes part. Jimmy remains to serve only a few days, but the consequences do not bother him, and he escapes from prison. On the way, the hero accidentally finds a book organizer, in which there is a key to a luxury villa. The organizer was owned by manager Spencer Barnes. The latter needs a boss villa for a business meeting. Spencer's plans are crumbling. Jimmy Dworski enjoys living in a luxury apartment. He pretends to be Barnes and takes care of the daughter of the owner of the corporation. Instead, the hero takes part in a business meeting with a businessman who arrived from Japan. The fate of Barnes, as well as the entire corporation, depends on the results of these negotiations. The Japanese refuse to cooperate with Spencer's company. As a result, the paths of Barnes and Dvorsky intersect. Spencer has already put an end to his career and personal life.
The film, “How to Succeed in Business,” then shows how Chicago baseball players win the series. Spencer redefines life views. He helps Jimmy go back to jail as if he hadn't left prison. Then he finds a new job, and then restores relations with his wife.
