Kida from Atlantis is a character in a Disney cartoon called Atlantis: The Lost World. She is a princess and will later become directly the queen of her state. She is not on the Disney Princess list (due to a small fundraiser for rental). Kida is the first of the black princesses in general in the company's activities.
Creation and short plot
When thinking about future work, the creators planned to move away from typical Disney stereotypes and make a new breakthrough, using science fiction literature instead of fairy-tale fantasy. The film was released in 2001 and immediately surprised with its novelty.
Atlantis: The Lost World tells of an expedition that decided to set off in search of a mysterious state. After the wreck of the boat, which the guards of Atlantis arranged, the team landed on the grotto and continues to search. All this time they are being watched by Atlantean intelligence. After finding Atlantis, the expedition is brought into conversation with the king of the state. Having convinced the ruler and the people of their harmlessness, the team is allowed to stay.
However, the expedition discovers a precious crystal, which the anti-hero Rourke decides to steal.
The existence of Atlantis without a crystal stone is impossible, therefore, when it is stolen, the world is plunged into darkness. Between the team of Rourke and the people of the mysterious state, a battle begins, the result of which becomes lethal for the antihero.
The heroine of Kid from Atlantis
Kid's character is the exact opposite of the typical Disney princess, both in appearance and in character.
According to the original idea, Kidagakash (her full name) wanted to make a white-skinned woman with brown hair, but then the decision was different: the developers created a whole race of Atlantis, where the protagonist Kida was her indigenous representative.
The Atlanteans had a number of advantages compared to ordinary people:
- delayed aging;
- life expectancy exceeded human 300 times.
Based on the above qualities, Kida looked very young for her age, which was 9000 years old (30 years on a human scale).
The creators took the name of Kid from Atlantis from the language of the Kiowa tribe, which in translation means "towering above darkness."
An exception is that she is the only princess in Disney who also has a surname - Nedakh.
Appearance Kidagakash
The heroine has white hair and dark skin. The color of the eyes is the same as that of the whole people of Atlantis - blue. She also has a turquoise hue tattoo under her left eye (the second tattooed princess in Disney after Pocahontas). Her dot-shaped label means the loss of her parents.
In clothes, she preferred minimalism: an open top, a short skirt and the absence of shoes. But becoming a queen, she changed her style to a more conservative one.
By character, Kid is a warrior princess, ready to die for her people, which was not typical for Disney, who previously portrayed princesses as victims. However, in relation to her husband, she could also apply gentleness.
Interesting facts: Kida from Atlantis is the only one who subsequently becomes queen and speaks more than one language.
The crystals located in Atlantis, she uses as a tool to use her supernatural abilities.
Milo and Kida from Atlantis
The main character, Milo, is an intelligent but physically weak character (which cannot be said about other Disney knights and warriors). He is a young scientist from America, trying to prove and find the existence of Atlantis. After he manages to get into the found state, between Kida from Atlantis: The Lost World and close friendship is born to him.
When Kidu is captured, Milo decides to save his beloved and at the same time return the crystal stolen by Rourke. Between a team of opponents and the Atlantean people, led by Milo, a battle begins.
The result of the battle is the death of the main antagonists and the return of the crystal in place. Milo decides to stay with Kida in a lost state.
