About three and a half decades ago, almost every family in the country on-screen met Heather Locklear. Hundreds of thousands, millions of viewers turned on their TVs every night to watch the development of the Carrington family events in the dynasty series. A huge number of eyes flashed on a slender blonde with a fluffy mane of hair and large eyes, who played the niece of the main character named Sammy Joe. She got used to the role so penetratingly and truthfully that no one could even think that this was her debut appearance on the screen. This went on for almost ten years.
And already in the early nineties of the twentieth century, another series - “Melrose Place”, which owed its success, in particular, to the participation of Heather Locklear, successfully stood out from the variety of “soap” that reigned on the screens then which got the role of brawler Amanda.
Childhood
On the 25th day of September 1961, in the state of California (the town of Westwood), Diane Tinsley Locklear and William Robert Locklear had a daughter named Heather. She became the youngest in a large family, where before her one brother and two sisters were already born. Mother Heather Locklear was an assistant at Disney Studios, and his father served as a naval officer, and later worked at the University of California.
Diligence, discipline, and respect for religion were inculcated in the family for children. As a little girl, Heather did not even think about the fact that a few years later she would become a famous actress. She wanted to become a pilot. Yes, in fact, there was no place to think about an acting career, because then Locklear looked like an ugly duckling - very thin, with poor skin and uneven teeth. She constantly heard ridicule from her classmates.
New face
One day, her father advised her to reveal her talents a little. The daughter obeyed the advice: she began to sing in the choir and attend a drama circle. Perhaps the natural data were “to blame”, perhaps the acquired skills, but by the end of school, the girl’s appearance had undergone enormous changes. She even considered going into a modeling business.
After receiving a school certificate, Heather Locklear, whose films after a short period of time will become mega-popular, goes to college at the University of California. She decided to become a psychologist.
Once, a girl decided to make herself some advertising shots and videos. Despite the fact that she is low (only 165 cm), Hollywood producers not only distinguished her from the rest, but even invited her to films for small roles.
Road to the screen
The young actress instantly became famous when the second season of the Dynasty series was released, where she was invited by the eminent director Aaron Spelling. It was 1981. Her heroine Samantha Josephine was, despite her beauty, very cunning and selfish. Novice actress Heather Locklear has changed a lot since joining the series. Now she had gorgeous blond hair, wide blue eyes, a radiant smile. Now she always applied makeup very carefully. She has been keeping her slim, graceful, very seductive figure for more than thirty years. But the main thing in her new look was her firm self-confidence, in her unearthly beauty and the emerging status of a star.
Golden Raspberry for a TV star
For three years, until 1985, Heather Locklear, whose films immediately became television hits, starred in another series. It was the police drama TJ Hooker. She shared the set with her dynasty aunt Linda Evans and William Shetner. The character Locker became a young female officer named Stacy Sheridan. Oddly enough, but the actress in the form of a policeman looked as attractive and charming as in an evening dress.
Heather now confidently considers himself a recognized and respected television star. She begins to work in movies. True, she could not achieve special heights. And for one of her films about the return of the creature from the marshland, Locklear was awarded the Golden Raspberry.
A new step to glory
The following year, 1986, brought the actress a new status - she was married to musician Tommy Lee. The marriage was not very successful. The divorce took place in 1993. Heather, perhaps, would try to maintain the relationship, but the woman was tired of the constant betrayal of her husband, his alcoholism and frequent assault.
In her career, everything turned out fine. Despite the fact that the filming of “Dynasty” was completed, the young actress not only retained the rating, but also increased it.
The year 1993 was marked for Locklear by an invitation to the new series Melrose Place. The stories about the life of the yuppies of New York at first were not delighted by viewers who were expecting to see something like that. But the popularity of this story began to roll over after a new character was introduced into it - Amanda Woodworth. It was this heroine that Heather Locklear embodied. The series withstood four nominations for the Golden Globe. Everything that was connected with Amanda was perceived by the audience with a bang. The screen image was complemented by quite sexy outfits - very tight-fitting and bright.
In 1994, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora and Heather Locklear were married. The personal life of the actress was always interested in admiring spectators, no matter how it evolved. Three years later, they had a daughter, Ava Elizabeth, who adopted the beauty from her mother. Unfortunately, the second marriage of the actress ended in 2007 with a divorce.
Gradually, Heather's career began to decline. New films and TV shows did not bring success. She became addicted to drugs and alcohol, attempting suicide twice.
And yet, Locklear still retained a slender figure and face that does not know a single plastic surgery. Her daughter at the age of 12 began a modeling career. Now, often with her mother, they pose for the same photos.
