How to write a characteristic for an employee

What is a characteristic for an employee? This is an official document in which the leader assesses the business and personal qualities of his subordinate. The characteristic may be requested by a court when considering an administrative or criminal case, guardianship authorities, an educational institution. The employee himself can also request, for example, to arrange for a new place or to obtain a loan.

A typical characteristic for an employee can be either positive or negative. The information that will be reflected in it should be objective, especially if the request comes from an official source. The form of writing the description is free, however, in some cases, the employer is allowed to fill out a ready form, for example, when passing ITU.

The document must indicate: the position of the employee, the name of the company, from what year he has been working.
