"Jane Doe" is a series of nine mystic television films that aired on Hallmark from 2005 to 2008. It was broadcast in conjunction with three other serial films (McBride, Murder for Beginners, The Mysterious Woman) under the same name as The Mystic Wheel on the Hallmark Channel Mystery Wheel. In the UK, these films were broadcast in the daytime on Channel 5.
In the series, the plot unfolds around Katie Davis (played by Lea Thompson), a housewife mother, code-named Jane Doe, who is the federal agent for the National Security Agency department. Films focus on her attempts to maintain a balance between family life and the work of a government agent, which is actually not so simple.
"Jane Doe: Disappearance"
Frank Darnell, head of the National Security Agency (NSA) department, is completely at a loss when Miles Crandall, a computer genius writing top-secret satellite communications software, suddenly disappears from a private jet (probably using a parachute) flying over the desert. Katie Davis, a retired federal agent, and now a loving wife and caring mother, is secretly called by the NSA to unravel this puzzle. Ironically, her cover is the position of game developer at US Puzzle. Soon they realize that the escape was staged. All that remains is the question: who did it and why? Meanwhile, Katie's son, Nick, an unpopular nerd, is running for president of the school, and his sister Susan is being selected for the support team.
"Dangerous games"
The Declaration of Independence was stolen from an exhibition at the Los Angeles Bank. The NSA, with the help of a skilled puzzle-solving puzzle, codenamed Jane Doe, unravels the mystery and finds a thief.
"Love till death"
Mafia leader Luis Angelini disappears from prison right before his gang handled a major arms deal in Panama, which may have required his direct involvement. The NSA calculated that he had staged his death and fled, pretending to be a former prisoner of Rocco Gallet. Angelini's lawyer, Armand Nordstrom, was killed and abandoned in the forest. Meanwhile, Jack Davis finds out what his wife has been hiding from him for many years, and the children are worried about the school talent contest.
"Unknown person"
72 hours before an important case in court, the wife of the prosecutor was mysteriously abducted after a plastic surgery. Jane Doe has exactly three days to find her.
"Yes, I remember it well."
British intelligence agent Aaine Smith, known for his photographic memory, was kidnapped in an elevator during a planned transfer of information about British secret agents in the Middle East to NSA agents. In fact, the suitcase was only a distracting maneuver, all the information was in his head, and a ransom of $ 5 million was required for his release. Frank calls Jane Doe, who at this time suffers from the unexpected visit of her mother Polly Jameson. However, the British agent Simon Custer, working on this case, turns out to be a professional and her close friend.
"The higher you climb, the harder it is to fall"
A California food tycoon who accidentally drowned on a cruise with his company's four executive directors is actually killed. Katie Davis is investigating this case. Meanwhile, her son Nick is in trouble trying to help his sister Susan.
"Inextricable ties"
The NSA takes on the case of a series of murders of employees of a large company. Susan, meanwhile, is about to go to a nightly disco.
"How to get rid of the boss"
Two NSA agents kill their mentors, after which they do not remember the crime committed. Katie Davis believes this case is linked to a secret government experiment to control consciousness. Now she must quickly find out who is behind these killings before anyone else gets hurt.
"The witness's eye"
Katie and Frank, as a partner in the case of the stolen painting, appoint a beautiful and mysterious insurance agent. Frank is fascinated by her, although it is becoming increasingly clear that it is she who can stand behind this crime.
