Rudolph Martin was born on July 31, 1967 in Berlin, Germany. Then he moved with his family from Berlin to Paris. After graduating from high school in Paris, he left for the USA. He studied at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute and first got a role in the short film "Dutch Master". Martin is fluent in 3 more languages besides his native German: French, Italian, English.
Personal life
Martin met with Sarah Michelle Gellar when they played “All My Children” together. Then he again worked with her in the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Married to Katherine LaPlant since 2012, has a daughter, Eloise.
