Why do I need a children's medical card?

A child’s medical card 026 / is required for admission to preschool and general educational institutions. It is extremely important to conduct the recommended medical examination both for the prevention of epidemics in the children's team and for monitoring the health status of a particular child. Indeed, timely identification of a problem increases the chance of its complete elimination.

In addition, if during the examination any abnormalities in the development of the child are found, the doctor can send the baby to a special preschool institution or give appropriate recommendations to parents. For example, in case of vision problems, the mother and father of the child are advised to identify the baby in a special kindergarten for children with visual impairments. And this is not a big deal, on the contrary, in such institutions various measures are being taken, both prophylactic and therapeutic, to restore the function of the organs of vision, which contributes to the full recovery or improvement of the child’s health.

If violations are found in the health of the student that require restrictions on physical activity (for example, problems with the cardiovascular system), then the pediatrician will write out a medical permit that allows the student not to attend physical education classes.

Where to get an examination to get a medical card?

You can undergo a physical examination at a district hospital for children free of charge. Such a process can take more than a week, since it is quite difficult to find all the necessary local doctors on the same day. It will take time to conduct tests in a state polyclinic, since the equipment of such medical institutions is often much worse if we compare its level with that in private centers.

Schoolchildren are often invited to undergo a routine examination directly within the walls of an educational institution. Such an examination is also free and compulsory for everyone.

A child’s medical card can be issued in a private clinic. The advantages of such an examination are that literally the next day you can get the necessary document, since after making an appointment with all the necessary doctors, you can go through it literally within an hour. And analyzes can be performed within a day. But for such amenities, you will need to pay for doctor's consultations and laboratory tests.
